It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Thursday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers – 2:40 PM ET

The first game of the day and of our best bets is the Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers. The Reds are 3-21 this season with no signs of getting any better. Their most recent game was an 18-4 loss to none other than the Milwaukee Brewers. The game before that was still a loss, but a much better one at 6-3. The 1-3 Hunter Greene will take the mound for the Reds tonight.

On the mound for the Brewers is Adrian Houser, who is 2-2 this season. The Brewers won’t really need to rely on pitching in this game though. Their batters are leagues better than the Reds and that should be enough to secure a win.

New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 6:45 PM ET

Jumping forward to a game later in the night we’ll see the Mets take on the Phillies. With an 18-9 record, the New York Mets are among the best in Major League Baseball. New York is coming into this four-game series after suffering a loss to the Atlanta Braves. In his first start of the year, Taijuan Walker will take the mound. He’s only pitched seven innings this season.

The Philadelphia Phillies have a record of 11-14 but are 8-7 at home. They’ll seek to protect their home field again today as they take on the Mets. The key for the Phillies here is to get their batters going early. If they can do that, they definitely have a shot at taking down the Mets.

Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles – 7:05 PM ET

This is definitely one of our “must-watch” games of the night. The Minnesota Twins are 15-10 but just lost 9-4 to the Orioles yesterday. To win the series, the Twins will need much better pitching tonight. Chris Archer, the right-handed pitcher with a 2.93 ERA, will get the start for the Twins tonight.

On the opposite side, you have Spenser Watkins, who is also making his first start. Watkins has an impressive 2.55 ERA over 17.2 innings pitched. The batters of the Orioles are also doing rather well this season. As a team, Baltimore has a batting average of .221, they also have an on-base percentage of .302. Still, we’ll take the Twins to win this one on the road.

Miami Marlins vs. San Diego Padres – 9:40 PM ET

This late-night game is between two teams from the National League. The Miami Marlins are 12-12 and looking to get past the .500 mark. Unfortunately for them, they’ve lost four of their last five games, losing three straight to Arizona. If they perform this way against the Padres, the Marlins will have a tough time winning.

The Padres, second in the NL West, have a record of 16-9 this season. Taking the mound tonight is Nick Martinez, who has a 1-2 record as a starter. Jesus Luzardo, starting pitcher for the Marlins is 2-1 this season. You also have to take into account that the Padres played back-to-back games yesterday. We’ll go with the upset here and take the Marlins.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants – 9:45 PM ET

To close out our best bets of the day in Major League Baseball, we have the Cardinals versus the Giants. St. Louis is 13-10, second in the NL Central, and coming off a big win over the Royals. Miles Mikolas, the starting pitcher for the Cardinals is 1-1 this season with an ERA of 1.52. Mikolas will look to slow down the batters of the Giants in today’s game.

The Giants, 14-10, have lost their last three games, two of which to the LA Dodgers. In order to get their season back on track, they need to get a win here. They’ll send Logan Webb, who is 3-1 this season, out to the mound to achieve this. They can also rely on their strong batting group to win this game at home.
