It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Saturday’s schedule.
Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs – 2:20 PM ET
The series between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs continues tonight. At the moment, the Reds are down 0-1 in the series after last night’s 6-1 loss. This marks the fourth loss in a row for the Reds and their 97th loss of the season. On the mound for the Reds tonight is Nick Lodolo, who has a 4-7 record with a 3.75 ERA.
The Chicago Cubs come into today’s game as -135 favorites. On the mound is Drew Smyly, who has a 7-8 record with a 3.48 ERA. The Cubs have a .239 team batting average, only slightly better than the Reds. With Smyly on the mound, however, we’ll take the Cubs at -135.
Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays – 3:07 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox have a 75-82 record this season and are fifth in the AL East. Tonight, they’ll face the Toronto Blue Jays, who have a 88-69 record and are second in the AL East. The Red Sox unfortunately are starting Brayan Bello, who has a 2-7 record and a 4.39 ERA.
The Toronto Blue Jays are sending out Ross Stripling, who has a 9-4 record with a 3.16 ERA. Both the Red Sox and the Blue Jays have strong batting averages. The Blue Jays, however, have a slight edge at .261. Last night, Toronto beat the Red Sox 9-0 so we’ll take them again tonight at -155.
Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Guardians – 6:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians yesterday. This marks their fourth loss in a row and their likely set to lose another one tonight. Kris Bubic, who has a 2-13 record and a 5.81 ERA, is getting the start tonight. With Bubic on the mound, the chances of the Royals winning are slim.
The Cleveland Guardians have an 89-68 record and are 43-33 at home. Zach Plesac, who has a 3-11 record this season with a 4.39 ERA. The Guardians have a .252 team batting average this season and have gone 4-1 over their last five games. Look for the Guardians to get another win at home at -190.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:15 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates have a 59-98 record after losing to the St. Louis Cardinals last night. On the mound today is Luis Ortiz, who has an 0-1 record and a 1.17 ERA. He’s only pitched 15.1 innings but it’s a pretty impressive ERA for that amount of time. The big problem is the Pirates only have a .221 team batting average.
The St. Louis Cardinals have a .252 batting average but only narrowly beat the Pirates yesterday. After winning 2-1 last night, the 8-6 Jordan Montgomery will take the mound for the Cardinals today. St. Louis has gone 2-3 over their last five games so we’ll actually take the underdog Pirates at +196.
New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET
The New York Mets fell to second in the NL East but still have a 98-59 record. The team that they’re behind is the same one they’re playing tonight, the Atlanta Braves. On the mound for the Mets tonight is Max Scherzer, who has a 11-4 record with a 2.13 ERA. As a team, the Mets have a .258 batting average, one of the best in the league.
The Atlanta Braves have a record of 98-59 as well and currently are winning the NL East. There are two games left in this series, giving the Braves a chance to win the division for good. On the mound for them tonight is Kyle Wright, who has an impressive 20-5 record and a 3.18 ERA. Still, we’ll take the Mets over the Braves at -120.
