It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Wednesday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – 12:35 PM ET

Having gone 1-4 over their last five games, the Cincinnati Reds desperately need a win. They’ve lost twice already to the Pirates including yesterday’s 4-1 loss. On the mound tonight is the 4-4 Luis Cessa, who has an ERA of 4.78. Perhaps Cessa can contain the Pirates batters.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have easily found a way to shut down the Reds. Yesterday’s win marked their third win over their last five days. On the mound tonight is Bryse Wilson, who has an ERA of 5.95 and a 3-9 record. In terms of pitching, the Reds have the edge so we’ll take them over the Pirates +100.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals – 7:05 PM ET

There aren’t many teams in Major League Baseball that are better than the Atlanta Braves. They’ve won four of their last five games including an 8-2 win over the Washington Nationals. On the mound for the Braves tonight is the 5-6 Jake Odorizzi, who has an ERA of 4.61. Keep in mind that the Braves have a team batting average of .253.

The Washington Nationals aren’t too bad at the plate either, batting .249 this season. On the mound tonight is the 7-10 Josiah Gray, who has an ERA of 5.17. Gray’s not going to give the Nationals a strong chance to win, so we’ll take the Braves -220.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox – 7:10 PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles have a record of 80-74 heading into this game. Last night, however, they were handed a 13-9 loss by the Boston Red Sox. Having gone 2-3 over their last five games, the Orioles need to get a win tonight. The 8-5 SP Dean Kremer is looking to give the Orioles exactly what they need, strong pitching.

The Boston Red Sox are sending out Rich Hill, who has a 7-7 record this season. His ERA of 4.65 is slightly worse than Kremer’s 3.07. Where the Red Sox excel is at the plate where they have an average of .259. With a 38-38 record at home, we’ll take the Boston Red Sox at -115 here.

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins – 7:40 PM ET

The Chicago White Sox have lost seven games in a row but are still ahead of the Twins. The AL Central standings have the White Sox only one game in front of Minnesota. To extend their lead, Chicago needs to get a win tonight. The 7-9 SP Johnny Cueto will get the start for Chicago, Cueto has an ERA of 3.15.

The Minnesota Twins will send out Josh Winder, who is 4-5 with a 4.20 ERA. Minnesota is 2-3 over their last five with an overall record of 75-79. This team started the season hot but the pitching has been a big problem for them. Still, we’ll take them over the White Sox tonight at
105.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers – 7:40 PM ET

Our final game of the day is between the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals, with a record of 90-65, beat the Brewers 6-2 yesterday. On the mound tonight is Jose Quintana, who has a 6-6 record with an ERA of 3.03. The Cardinals also have a significant lead at the plate, where they’re batting .253 this season.

The Milwaukee Brewers have lost their last two games, bringing their record to 82-72. The good news for them is Brandon Woodruff is getting the start tonight. Woodruff has a record of 12-4 with an ERA of 3.18 and gives them the best chance to win. We’ll go with the Brewers at home over St. Louis at -155.
