It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Thursday’s schedule.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Chicago Cubs – 2:20 PM ET

Leading off our best bets of the day is the Philadelphia Phillies facing the Chicago Cubs. The Phillies, with a record of 83-71, come into the game as -195 favorites. On the mound tonight is the 10-5 Ranger Suarez, who has an ERA of 3.38. As a team the Phillies have a batting average of .254 but are coming off of a 4-2 loss.

The Chicago Cubs are the team that handed the Phillies the 4-2 loss last night. With their record increasing to 69-86, the Cubs have won each of their first two games against Philadelphia. The 1-2 Javier Assad will get the start tonight. Assad has an ERA of 4.28 over 27.1 innings, so we’ll go with Philadelphia -195.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cleveland Guardians – 6:10 PM ET

Jumping ahead in the day, we’ll see the Tampa Bay Rays play the Cleveland Guardians. The Rays are 85-70 and rank third in the AL East. Yesterday, they suffered a 2-1 loss in the 10th inning to the Cleveland Guardians. On the mound tonight is the 9-4 Jeffrey Springs, who has an ERA of 2.56. Springs has earned that ERA over the course of 126.1 innings.

The Cleveland Guardians have won four of their last five games. They lead the AL Central with a record of 87-68 and can improve on it with a win tonight. Getting the start for them is Cal Quantrill, who has a 14-5 record and an ERA of 3.49. Look for the Guardians to get another win at home -110.

Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels – 9:38 PM ET

The Oakland Athletics have a record of 56-99 and won’t be making the postseason. They’ve gone 1-4 over their last five games with two losses to the Angels already. Taking the mound today is Cole Irvin, who has a 9-12 record with a 4.05 ERA. The Athletics have a team batting average of .217, one of the worst in the league.

The Los Angeles Angels will start Shohei Ohtani, the 14-8 starting pitcher. Ohtani has an ERA of 2.47 over 153 innings and is one of the best hitters in baseball. After winning back-to-back games against Oakland, we’ll take them again tonight -250.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres – 9:40 PM ET

One of the most entertaining games of the day is set for 9:40 PM ET tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers, currently the best team in baseball, will face the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers are 3-2 in their last five games after last night’s win over the Padres. The 3-3 Andrew Heaney will get the start for the Dodgers tonight, Heaney has an ERA of 3.06.

Taking the mound for the Padres is Sean Manaea, who is 7-9 this season. The Padres have an overall record of 86-69 with a 41-33 record at home. Still, with Heaney on the mound for the Dodgers, we’ll go with Los Angeles in this one.

Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants – 9:45 PM ET

The Colorado Rockies have a 65-90 record coming into this game. Last night, they fell 6-3 to the San Francisco Giants, marking their fourth straight loss. On the mound is Ryan Feltner, who has a 3-8 record with an ERA of 5.91.

Getting the start for the Giants is Carlos Rodon, who has a much better record at 13.8. He also has a better ERA with a 2.98 and he’s earned that ERA over 172 innings. The only area where the Giants fall behind is at the plate, where they’re batting .233. That didn’t matter much yesterday, however, so we’ll take San Francisco -225.
