It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Friday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs – 2:20 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds head into tonight’s game with a 60-96 record. They’ve lost their last three games this season, bringing them to fourth in the NL Central. Tonight, they’ll start Graham Ashcraft, the 5-4 starting pitcher with an ERA of 4.18. Cincinnati has a team batting average of .237, just under the Cubs’ .239.

The Chicago Cubs are -155 favorites in this game and for good reason. They’ve won four games in a row including a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies. On the mound tonight is Adrian Sampson who has a 3-5 record with a 3.23 ERA. We’ll go with the Cubs over the Reds tonight at -155.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals – 7:05 PM ET

Jumping forward into the evening we’ll see the Philadelphia Phillies face the Washington Nationals. With an 83-72 record and a 36-38 record on the road, the Phillies aren’t a bad pick here. On the mound tonight is Noah Syndergaard, who has a 9-10 record with a 4.12 ERA.

The Washington Nationals have yet to announce their starting pitcher for today’s game. However, they’ve gone 2-3 in their last five games so we’d rather take the Phillies tonight. Philadelphia has a team batting average of .254, which should lead them to a win over the Nationals.

New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

The New York Mets have a record of 98-58 and lead the NL East but only by a game. Tonight begins a three-game series against the second-place team in the division. On the mound for the Mets is Jacob deGrom, who has a 5-3 record and an ERA of 2.93. With deGrom on the mound, the Mets have a great chance of winning but Atlanta has an ace too.

Getting the start for the Braves today is Max Fried, who has a 13-7 record. Fried and his ERA of 2.50 has led the Braves to several victories this season. In terms of batting, the Mets have a slight edge with a .258 batting average. This is going to be a close game but we’ll take New York -125.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 8:15 PM ET

After three straight wins over the Cincinnati Reds, the Pittsburgh Pirates are 59-97. They won’t be making the postseason but they can end the year on a high note. One way they can do this is by taking down the St. Louis Cardinals. On the mound tonight is the 4-2 Johan Oviedo who has a 3.13 ERA this season.

The St. Louis Cardinals will send out the 1-1 Jack Flaherty, who has a 4.97 ERA. Where the Cardinals truly have an edge is at the plate. This year, the Cardinals have a team batting average of .252 compared to the Pirates .221. We’ll go with the Cardinals over the Pirates in Game 1 of this series.

Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners – 9:40 PM ET

The Oakland Athletics have lost four games in a row, bringing their record to 56-100. With such a poor showing this season, we expect them to make several moves in the offseason. Tonight, however, they’ll face the Seattle Mariners, who have a 85-70 record. On the mound for Oakland is Ken Waldichuk, who is 1-2 with an ERA of 7.15.

The Seattle Mariners are second in the AL West and have won three of their last five games. On the mound for them is Logan Gilbert, who has a 13-6 record with a 3.29 ERA. This one is pretty clear for us, we’ll take Seattle at -267.
