It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look at the top five games on Tuesday’s schedule.
Boston Red Sox at Detroit Tigers
The Boston Red Sox continue their series against Detroit after suffering a 3-1 loss to start the series. This time, the LHP Rich Hill will get the start for the Red Sox on the mound. Three players are on the “day-to-day” list for the Red Sox, Jarren Duran, Noah Song, and Trevor Story.
The injury list is also continuing to grow for the Detroit Tigers, who have three players on IL. On the mound is LHP Tyler Alexander, who will hope to lead the Tigers to another win over Boston. Boston has started the season off with poor batting, the Tigers will look to exploit that today.
Cleveland Guardians at Cincinnati Reds
The Cleveland Guardians just claimed a big win over the Kansas City Royals, 10-7. Today, they’ll hope to have the same kind of success batting against the Reds. However, they’ll also hope that their pitching is much better in this game with RHP Shane Bieber on the mound.
The Cincinnati Reds will give the 1-0 Tyler Mahle the start today. Mahle has seven strikeouts and is credited with the 6-3 win over the Atlanta Braves. We hope that we see a vast improvement from the Reds batters today. As a team, Cincinnati’s batting average is .200 at the moment.
Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees
The Toronto Blue Jays have had a hot start this season with a 3-1 record to start the year. Today, they face the New York Yankees, who have a slew of heavy hitters in the lineup. Facing these hitters first is Yusei Kikuchi, in his first start of the MLB season. Expect fireworks in this game as George Springer has already put up two home runs this year.
We all are likely familiar with the batters in New York’s lineup. One of the bright spots at the moment is Giancarlo Stanton, who has two home runs as well. Stanton is batting .294, which leads the Yankees. On the mound for New York is Nestor Cortez in his first start of the year.
Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves
The 0-1 Patrick Corbin will get the start for the Washington Nationals in today’s game. The Nationals landed the first win of the series against the Braves with a whopping 11-2 victory. Tonight, they’ll hope for the same outing, but with Corbin at the helm, the Nationals could be in trouble.
The Atlanta Braves are hoping to bounce back from two straight losses. Before their 11-2 loss to the Nationals, they took a 6-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The pitcher for the Braves in this game has yet to be decided, so it’ll likely be a game-time decision. The good news is the Braves have a few good pitchers to choose from.
Kansas City Royals at St. Louis Cardinals
The Royals have looked pretty awful on defense as they head into this game. In their final two games of the series against the Guardians, the Royals lost 10-7 and 17-3. They’ll hope to get back on track as they face starting pitcher Dakota Hudson and the St. Louis Cardinals today.
The Cardinals are also coming off a loss, this one to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cardinals batters will face Daniel Lynch as the starting pitcher for the Royals. After the way the Royals have played, the Cardinals batters should be happy about this one. Look for the Cardinals and Nolan Arenado, to kick this game off quickly.
