It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look at the top five games on Wednesday’s schedule.

New York Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 1:15 PM ET

The Mets are on a three-game winning streak at the moment and are searching for number four. They’ve already won the first two games of their series against the Cardinals as well. Great pitching could be thanked for the wins, but it’s an overall team effort as well. The Mets batters have a .255 average as a team, ranking third overall in Major League Baseball.

Heading into this game, the Cardinals need to get momentum on their side. The good news for them is they’re starting the 2-1 LHP Steven Matz. Matz will look to keep the Mets batters in check while the Cardinals will try to score some runs tonight. They were shut out in the last game, losing 3-0.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 3:40 PM ET

Following up that game is one between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. At first glance, it may seem like an easy win for the Dodgers, but you’d be wrong. Yesterday, the Dodgers lost to the Diamondbacks 5-3, today they’ll look to bounce back. Julio Urias will get the start on the mound and attempt to improve his 1-1 record.

The Diamondbacks are starting Zac Gallen, who has yet to make a start this season. Gallen has pitched nine innings, throwing nine strikeouts and allowing four hits. The only problem is tonight he faces some of the best batting in MLB. The Dodgers rank second in total runs at 89 and seventh in team batting average (.249).

San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

Moving later into the night we’ll see the Padres take on the Reds. San Diego took the first win of this series but surrendered six runs to the Reds. With MacKenzie Gore on the mound, the Padres will look to play much tighter today. If they can allow fewer runs tonight, the Padres should be the best bet at -175.

The Reds are 3-14 this season and have won just a single game at home. Their batting is among the worst in Major League Baseball and their pitching isn’t much better. Speaking of pitching, they’ll start the 0-3 Vladimir Gutierrez tonight. Gutierrez has an ERA of 5.54 and has allowed 13 hits in 13 innings pitched.

Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees – 7:05 PM ET

After winning 2-1 in their series against the Angels, the Orioles face more tough competition. They’re fighting to get back to .500, but are running into the New York Yankees. New York has won their last four games, but there’s good news for the Orioles. The Yankees are starting the 0-1 Jordan Montgomery, giving Baltimore’s batters a chance.

On the other hand, the Orioles are starting the 0-2 Tyler Wells. Wells has an ERA of 6.75 over just eight pitched innings. The New York batting lineup is averaging .242 with 136 hits on the season. With a .318 on-base percentage, we don’t see the Yankees losing this game.

Chicago Cubs vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

The Cubs take on the Braves tonight but have already lost the first game of this series. In fact, the Cubs have lost four of their last five games, three of which were to the Pirates. With a record of 7-10, Chicago will send Mark Leiter Jr. to the mound in hopes of a winning outing. Leiter Jr. is 0-1 this season with an ERA of 11.05.

The starting pitcher for the Braves tonight will be Charlie Morton who is 1-2 this season. One player to watch for the Braves is Ozzie Albies, their second baseman. Albies has hit six home runs this year, leading the team. He also leads the teams in RBIs with 11 and has a batting average of .257.
