Who Moved into the Top 25 for NCAA Basketball?
There are four new teams in the Top 25 this week, and that is headlined by #17 Arizona. Arizona moves into the poll at #17 after a great week of play. They dismantled North Dakota State and then beat Wichita State in overtime before blowing out Michigan on the road.
BYU also enters the Top 25, one spot behind Arizona at #18. BYU entered on the strength of a 32 point win over Oregon a week ago. They sit at 4-0 on the season and have not had much of a struggle yet.
Seton Hall is one of the hottest teams in America right now, and they moved up 17 spots to #21 in the Top 25. Seton Hall went on the road and beat Michigan to move to 3-0.
They lost to Ohio State last night, but they have a ton of games in their non-conference that will be able to help them right that ship. Xavier is the last team to move into the Top 25 at #25. They beat Ohio State at home last week, which catapulted them into the Top 25. They have a tough test this upcoming week with 4-0 Iowa State.
Who is on the Outside Looking In?
There are a ton of teams that are very close to being in the poll. Oregon sits just outside at 96 points (#25 has 102 points), and behind them are Virginia Tech, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Indiana.
If any of these teams tumble this week, look for a few of these teams to move into the Top 25. There are a ton of mid-majors who are just on the outside of getting into the poll very soon.
