NFL Regular Season Week 16 Betting Outlook

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background. 

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

It is Week 16, with just three more weeks of regular season football on the schedule. The games mean more, the wins and losses are now deciding playoff spots, and the intensity of the betting is at a season-high. Here are the NFL matchups for Christmas weekend.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Rams – Saturday, December 25th, 2022 4:30 pm CST 

Neither the Broncos nor the Rams are going to be in the playoffs, and both teams have been banged up at quarterback.

With a point spread of Denver -0.5, this is essentially a pick’em game. The moneyline also reflects that. A bet on the Broncos pays -115, while a bet on the Rams pays -105. This is also expected to be a very low-scoring game, with a total points line at just 35.5.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arizona Cardinals – Saturday, December 25th, 2022 8:20 pm CST 

The final of three Christmas Day games has Tom Brady and the Buccaneers at the Arizona Cardinals, who may be down to their third-string quarterback, Trace McSorley. He played on Sunday against the Broncos after Colt McCoy left with a concussion.

The Bucs blew a 17-point lead on Sunday, but they are still road favorites (-3.5). For all of their struggles, they still have Tom Brady, and despite a bad 6-8 record, they are in first place in the NFC South.
