NFL Regular Season Week 2 Betting Outlook
In the NFL, every team has a chance to win on any given Sunday. But as we move into Week 2, some teams are starting to show their true colors. The teams that looked good in Week 1 are likely going to continue playing well, while the teams that struggled are going to have a harder time getting back on track.
That’s what makes NFL betting so interesting – anything can happen on any given Sunday. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make some educated guesses about how things will play out. So without further ado, let’s take a look at my predictions for Week 2 of the NFL season.
Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos – Sunday, September 18, 2022 3:25pm CST
The Houston Texans started their NFL season with a 0-0-1 record. Texans Davis Mills had a great game, though, passing for 240 yards and two touchdowns. The question is, how will he do against a strong Broncos defense?
The Denver Broncos offense looked horrible to start the season. Broncos Russell Wilson had a fine game, throwing for 340 yards and a touchdown. The problem is he could barely find his targets down the field. Look for the Broncos to clean it up in Week 2 but fail to cover the 9.5-point spread.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Las Vegas Raiders – Sunday, September 18, 2022 3:25pm CST
Two 0-1 teams will face off in this one as the Arizona Cardinals head to Las Vegas. The Cardinals were beaten pretty easily by the Chiefs, 44-21. This started with Cardinals Kyler Murray, who was under duress the entire game.
A key for the Raiders is to put a ton of pressure on Murray, forcing him into bad decisions. Las Vegas lost as well, but it was a much closer game. Raiders QB Derek Carr could be credited with that loss since he threw three interceptions. Still, we’ll take the Raiders at -5.5.
