NFL Week 3 Recap
The third week of the NFL was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.
Let’s check out some of the best NFL games of the week during this NFL Week 3 recap.
Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 14-12 (Packers)
The game between the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a hard one to watch. Neither team’s offense could really get going, but it was definitely a defensive showcase.
Green Bay forced two turnovers but only scored points in the first half. Aaron Rodgers threw for 255 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. It was a tough offensive day for them.
As bad as the Packers were on offense, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were worse. Tampa Bay had two turnovers as well and only scored points in the second half.
It seemed as if they were mounting a comeback, but they fell short. Now, with a 2-1 record, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.
Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals – 20-12 (Rams)
The Rams looked to be back to form in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. QB Matthew Stafford threw for 249 but didn’t have any passing touchdowns.
The Ram’s RB Cam Akers played a much bigger role, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. One of the most interesting notes about this game is the Rams only held the ball for 26:04.
Although the Arizona Cardinals controlled the time of possession, they could only score 12 points. The Cardinal’s QB Kyler Murray went 37-58, passing for 314 yards; it’d be a good idea to not force so many throws.
The Cardinals didn’t score a single touchdown throughout this game. Last week, their offense looked incredible, but in Week 3, it fell flat.
