Week 15 Recap: Dolphins Have Perfect Setting in Buffalo

NFL Week 15 Recap

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background.

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

It feels like we’ve said this at least three other times this season, but Week 15 really was the craziest week of the year. Let’s take a look at some of the best games this past week.

The Perfect Setting in Buffalo (29-32 Bills)

The battle for the top of the AFC East had everything you’d want. Two great offensive teams, a longtime rivalry, and the threat of a lake-effect snowstorm that finally hit during an incredible fourth quarter of play.

The cold weather did not shut down the Dolphin’s offense as some feared. Miami gained over 400 yards of offense, averaged 7.1 yards per play, and they scored 29 points. They were actually leading the Bills well into the fourth quarter.

But like Sampson and his long hair, snow seems to give Josh Allen extra powers. He led Buffalo on a 75-yard touchdown drive that ended with Allen throwing a touchdown pass to Dawson Knox, and then Allen running it for the two-point conversion to tie the game.

Allen then broke the backs of the Dolphins, and their hearts, on the final drive of the game. The Bills went 86 yards in 15 plays, they consumed the final 5:56 of the game, and then kicked a game-winning field goal on the game’s final play.

Miami covered the spread, the OVER went way over, and the Bills are now in the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season – their longest such streak since 1993.
