Grizzlies at Hawks, Wizards at Knicks, Pacers at Rockets, Capitals at Hurricanes, Sabres at Flames

There are many excellent games on tap for Friday evening. We look at some of those games here and see if the odds are something you should bet or not.

Memphis Grizzlies at Atlanta Hawks

The Memphis Grizzlies head off to take on the Atlanta Hawks this evening as both teams are trying to get hot at the right time. Memphis is leading their division with a record of 48-22, and they are on a four-game winning streak. The Hawks are 34-35 this year and are looking to get back into the playoffs this year. They lost their last game but were on a three-game win streak before that. Look for this to be a really solid game. Take the Hawks to cover the +5 point spread at home.

Washington Wizards at New York Knicks

The Washington Wizards head to New York to take on the Knicks in what is going to be a game that pits two underperforming teams against each other. The Wizards are 29-39 on the season, while the Knicks are 29-40. These teams have struggled at times this year but have also shown some pretty solid flashes. This game is going to come down to which team cares about winning more. Washington is currently on a five-game losing streak and will look to turn it around here. Take the Wizards to cover the +5.5 point spread.

Indiana Pacers at Houston Rockets

This evening, the Indiana Pacers hit the road to take on the Houston Rockets in what should be a really good game. The Pacers are 23-47 on the season, while the Rockets are sitting at 17-52 on the season thus far. This will be a big game for draft implication, and both of these teams will likely rather lose this one. I do look for the Pacers to come out strong, however. The Pacers are favored on the road by three points. Take the Pacers -3.0 in this one.

Washington Capitals at Carolina Hurricanes

In a regular-season matchup, the Washington Capitals travel to take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in a regular-season matchup that should be very good. These are two of the top teams in the NHL this season, and they should be able to have a very close and competitive game. The Capitals are 34-18-10 on the year, while the Hurricanes are 41-14-5. The Hurricanes have been great this year at home as they are 23-4-2 on their home ice. I think this is going to be a very good hockey match that is low-scoring. Both of these teams are going to want to slow it down and take the best shots that they can. Take the Capitals to cover the +1.5 puck line.

Buffalo Sabres at Calgary Flames

The Buffalo Sabres and the Calgary Flames meet up this evening in a match that should quickly lean one way. The Sabres come in at 20-33-8 on the season and face the Flames, who are a very good 37-16-7. The Flames are going to look to come in here quickly and dispatch the Sabres. The Flames beat the Sabres 5-0 in their first matchup this season, and I do not think that there will be much of a difference. The Flames are playing really good hockey, and it is just very hard to bet against them. Take the Flames to cover the -1.5 puck line tonight.
