We told you we weren’t betting against Playoff Jimmy.

However, Playoff Jimmy wasn’t required for more than expert-level trolling as the Butlerettes showed up in a big way, the Heat’s starters rested in the fourth quarter, and the Boston Celtics appear to be broken, disinterested, quietly quitting, and the frauds we’ve learned to not trust throughout the 2022-2023 season.

Last night, we selected the Miami Heat as the shocking home underdog to defeat the Boston Celtics, which appeared to be a foregone conclusion halfway through the first quarter of game three. We doubled up on the Heat, picking them to cover the spread of +3.5 points since we picked Miami to pull off the upset.

While the Miami Heat gave us two individual wins to start the week, our parlay was declared dead on the scene earlier on Sunday afternoon.

We followed the season head-to-head trends in game one and incorrectly picked the under. Last night, we followed the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights’ recent playoff performances and selected the over of 5.5.

VGK tied the game at 2-2 in the third period, winning 3-2 in overtime. With five total goals, we missed hitting the over – or getting a push – due to the 0.5-goal hook.

We start our week with an 0-1 parlay record but have a 2-1 record on individual picks.

Florida Panthers over Carolina Hurricanes (-115)

We’re sticking with South Beach vibes, although we’re conflicted with taking the Panthers to win instead of picking the game to hit the under of 5.5. We’re thinking the Carolina Hurricanes are going to win at least one game in this series.

Or will a fourth team in the NBA or NHL Conference Finals remain undefeated in this round, with the Florida Panthers aiming to match Playoff Jimmy and the Butlerettes by taking a 3-0 Conference Finals lead?

The Panthers only have a 2-3 home record in the playoffs and hold a 3-2 edge in the head-to-head season series, while the home team has a 2-3 record in the head-to-head season series. The road team is 5-2 in the previous seven matchups, while the underdog is 4-1 in the previous five games.

However, the Canes are 2-7 in their last nine trips to South Florida.

While logic and probabilities suggest the Carolina Hurricanes should and will win at least one game in the Eastern Conference Finals, we’re riding with Chucky and The Cats. Unfortunately, we won’t be getting a “let’s go home” walk-off celly tonight.

We’re taking the Florida Panthers and all the South Beach vibes to take a 3-0 series lead while making a sneaky second South Beach-based pick and taking the under of 5.5, although we are not featuring that pick in our parlay.

Denver Nuggets over Los Angeles Lakers (+130)

Wait, what?

Don’t the Denver Nuggets have a 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals?

Aren’t these the same Nuggets that have seemed in control for most of this series? Isn’t this the same Nuggets squad that has won four straight games against the Lakers, holding a 5-2 lead in the head-to-head series?

In fact, the last we checked, this is that same Denver Nuggets squad, and Las Vegas believes they will lose game four on the road.

Fair enough, when the home team is 6-1 this season.

However, if performance patterns pan out, this is scheduled to be another Anthony Davis “off-night,” while the Nuggets can close with either the Joker or Blue Arrow, depending on the matchups.

We’re taking the Nuggets – who are clearly the better team – to complete the sweep and defeat the Lakers in game four of the Western Conference Finals.
