The NBA and NHL continue to ramp up as we move through the first half of the year. With a few big games scheduled, let’s take a look at how we think three games will play out.

Memphis Grizzlies (-10) over Washington Wizards

With a record of 6-3 this season, the Memphis Grizzlies are ready to face the Washington Wizards. Just a few days ago, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Charlotte Hornets 130-99. Prior to that, they beat the Portland Trail Blazers 111-106. As an offense, the Grizzlies are putting up 118.7 points per game. In terms of offense, there’s no denying how good they are.

The Washington Wizards have a record of 4-5 this season. On November 4, they lost 128-86 to the Brooklyn Nets. Their 2-2 record on the road might’ve helped if they weren’t playing the Grizzlies. Their offense averages 108 points per game, so we’ll go with the Grizzlies at -10 in this one.

Florida Panthers (-1.5) over Anaheim Ducks

With a 6-5-1 record, the Florida Panthers are off to a pretty mediocre start. A team that was once one of the top scoring teams in the league, we’re surprised they’re performing so poorly. On average, the Panthers put up 3.08 goals per game while allowing 3.25. Their recent struggles continued last night against the LA Kings.

The Anaheim Ducks pose a tough challenge for the Florida Panthers. Last night, they beat the San Jose Sharks 5-4, increasing their record to 4-7-1. As a team, they’re scoring 2.83 goals per game, one of the worst teams in the league. Their defense is even worse, allowing 4.58 goals per game. Take the Florida Panthers at -1.5 over the Anaheim Ducks.

Utah Jazz (+4) over LA Clippers

The Utah Jazz is one of the best teams in the league right now with a 7-3 record. They rank third in the Western Conference and are 3-3 on the road. Tonight, they’ll face the Los Angeles Clippers and they come into the game as four-point favorites. This season, the Utah Jazz are averaging 117 points per game, one of the best in the league.

The LA Clippers will play host to the Utah Jazz tonight and are 1-2 at home. Three players are currently listed as out tonight, Kawhi Leonard, Robert Covington, and Luke Kennard. With these players out, the best option is the Utah Jazz at +4.
