ACTION247: NBA and NHL Parlay for October 30, 2022

The NBA and NHL continue to ramp up as we move through the first half of the year. With a few big games scheduled, let’s take a look at how we think three games will play out.

Dallas Mavericks (-9.5) over Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have started the season off with a 1-5 record. Currently, they’re 0-4 on the road this season and rookie Paolo Banchero leads the team in points per game. Today, they’ll face the Dallas Mavericks, who have had their own struggles this season. Still, the Magic aren’t quite equipped to pull off a win over the Mavericks.

The Dallas Mavericks have a record of 2-3 and are 1-1 at home this season. Luka Doncic is averaging 35.2 points per game and leads the team with 10.8 rebounds per game. The Mavericks are coming off a 129-125 win over the Brooklyn Nets. With a solid win under their belt, we think they’ll be able to cover the 9.5-point spread tonight.

Winnipeg Jets (+155) over Vegas Golden Knights

The Winnipeg Jets have secured their third straight win after a win over Arizona. Now, with a record of 5-3, they’ll face the Vegas Golden Knights. On average, the Jets put up an average of 3.13 goals per game. They’ll need every one of those goals as they face the Knights who allow just 1.78 goals per game.

The Vegas Golden Knights average 3.33 goals per game but their defense is what’s winning games. A strong defense is what the Knights have been missing for some time. Now, they have the defense they need but the Jets have a slight edge here. On a three-game winning streak, we’ll take them over the Knights.

Denver Nuggets (-4) over Los Angeles Lakers

With a 4-2 record, it’s no surprise that the Denver Nuggets come in as the favorites today. They have a record of 1-2 on the road, which could be a problem. However, they only need to cover four points so it shouldn’t be a problem. Not to mention, the Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league right now.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a 0-5 record this season, a rough start to be sure. There’s a long season in front of them but things aren’t looking good in Los Angeles. They recently lost 111-102 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, so we’ll take the Nuggets here.
