ACTION247: NBA/NHL Parlay for Dec. 13, 2022

We’re still working through the first half of the NBA and NHL seasons. With a few big games scheduled today, let’s take a look at how we think three matches will play out.

New Orleans Pelicans (-2) over Utah Jazz

jazz vs pelicans nba bettingAlthough the New Orleans Pelicans will be without Brandon Ingram, they’re still favorites to win this game. If you look at their previous games, you’ll see exactly why this team is favored.

They have back-to-back wins over the Phoenix Suns and a big win over the Denver Nuggets. With an offense that averages 117.6 points per game, they’re a good pick to win this one.

The Utah Jazz comes into this game as underdogs and there’s a good reason for that. They’ve lost three of their last five games including a recent one to the Nuggets.

They did earn a win a few nights ago against the Golden State Warriors. However, we don’t think they’ll have the same kind of luck when they face the Pelicans.

Boston Celtics (-3.5) over Los Angeles Lakers

lakers vs celtics nba bettingThe Boston Celtics have a 10-5 record on the road this season and are 21-7 overall. Led by Jayson Tatum, this team leads the Eastern Conference at the moment.

After losing their last two games, the Celtics are looking for a chance to bounce back this week. Playing an injured Lakers team might be exactly what they need at the moment.

The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled to stay healthy this season. Both Anthony Davis and LeBron James are listed as “day-to-day” but could take the court.

Even if they do, however, they’ll likely have trouble stopping the Celtics. Los Angeles has lost three of their last five games, including one to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

San Jose Sharks (-189) over Arizona Coyotes

sharks vs coyotes nhl bettingThe Arizona Coyotes have a record of 9-13-4 this season and are 6-11-3 on the road. Following two straight wins, the Coyotes will head to San Jose to face the Sharks.

As a team, the Coyotes average just 2.77 yards per game while giving up 3.62. Because of this, we don’t see them as the best option to win this game.

The San Jose Sharks have ran into a bit of trouble in recent weeks. They have a 1-4 record in their last five games and have an overall record of 9-16-5. Although they have a 2-8-5 record at home, we still think this team is the better pick.
