The NBA continues to ramp up as we’re heading into the first portion of the year. After a few significant injuries, we’re going to take a look at how we think three games will play out.

Boston Celtics (-5) over Chicago Bulls

The Boston Celtics have had a fast start to the season. They’re currently 3-0 and have won both of their first two games on the road. After being both the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat, we think they’ll have no problem with the Chicago Bulls.

The spread is slightly large, sure, but the Celtics are equipped to cover this spread. Jayson Tatum is averaging 34.7 points per game, one of the best in the league. Considering the Bulls are 1-2, the better bet here is definitely the Celtics.

Memphis Grizzlies (-1.5) over Brooklyn Nets

This game could be a really close one, especially since we haven’t seen much from either team. The Memphis Grizzlies, however, have a few significant wins under their belt. They were able to beat the Toronto Raptors 109-105 recently. A few games before that they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves by 10 points.

The Brooklyn Nets just lost 137-96 to the Dallas Mavericks. After a performance like that we can’t trust them to beat several teams in the NBA. Facing another high-powered offense will be tough so we’ll go with the Grizzlies here.

San Antonio Spurs (+10) over Minnesota Timberwolves

First, let’s start by saying we think the Minnesota Timberwolves will win this game. However, the San Antonio Spurs should be able to cover a 10-point spread. This team recently beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-105. If they can do that, they should be able to keep this game within the spread.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have beaten teams by more than ten points. However, these teams don’t have a win over the 76ers under their belt. Although we think they’ll win, the better pick is the Spurs +10.
