The NFL is heading into Week 11, and we’re past the midway point of the season. With a few big games scheduled, let’s take a look at how we think three games will play out.
New York Jets (+3.5) over New England Patriots
We’re actually kind of shocked that the New York Jets are underdogs in this game. Sure, they’re on the road, but they have a 4-0 record when traveling this season. With an overall record of 6-3, the only thing they’ll have to worry about is the Patriots’ defense. The Jets’ defense is pretty impressive as well, however, allowing just 19.6 points per game.
The last time the New England Patriots played the Jets, they won 22-17. However, we don’t think the same result will happen this time. Keep in mind the Patriots lost to the Bears 33-14 just a few weeks ago. We’d recommend taking the under in this game, but our choice against the spread is the Jets.
Dallas Cowboys (-2.5) over Minnesota Vikings
This season has kind of been a back-and-forth battle for the Dallas Cowboys. In certain games, they look like one of the best teams in the NFC. In others, such as their loss to the Green Bay Packers last week, they looked awful. This week, they’re playing another NFC North team and will rely on their defense to win.
You have to keep in mind is the Cowboys have one of the best defenses in the league. The Minnesota Vikings average 25.1 points per game but have had trouble against good defenses before. Although they’re coming off a big win over the Buffalo Bills, we think Dallas will edge out a win.
Kansas City Chiefs (-5) over Los Angeles Chargers
The Sunday Night Football game is an AFC West matchup. This game should be pretty entertaining, especially with Patrick Mahomes under center. The Chiefs have a 7-2 record with a 3-1 record on the road. They’ve won their last three games including a 44-23 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
The Los Angeles Chargers have one of the worst defenses in the league. This has been a pretty common occurrence over the last few years, actually. On average, they’re giving up 25.3 points per game. It doesn’t help that they’re playing the highest-scoring team in the NFL either. Take the Chiefs to cover the spread on the road this weekend.
