Action247 Same-Game Parlay for January 26, 2023

Two out of three ain’t bad unless the third thing makes your parlay fail. Last night, The Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars hit the under, and the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the New Orleans Pelicans. However, the Sacramento Kings failed us, losing at home to the Toronto Raptors.

We are not having a good week with NBA picks helping our daily parlays hitting.

This moves our weekly parlay record to a disappointing 0-4 this week but 8-4 on our individual picks. Today, we’re desperate for a parlay win, and we’re going back to a same-game parlay, going North of the border and back to the ice for a winning parlay.

Winnipeg Jets over Buffalo Sabres (-179)

While the Buffalo Sabres are one of the more fun teams to watch in the NHL, they are not very defensively sound. On the other hand, the Winnipeg Jets are among the Stanley Cup favorites, ranked second in the Central Division, two points behind the Dallas Stars.

Yet, the Sabres are riding a four-game winning streak, while the Jets had a two-game losing streak snapped in their last game against the Nashville Predators. Winnipeg did win the first matchup 4-2 on January 12. However, the favorite is 21-7 in the last 28 meetings, but the road team is 6-2 in the last eight head-to-head meetings.

Historically, the Sabres are not great in Winnipeg and have a 6-14 record in the last 20 games in Winnipeg. Moreover, the Sabres aren’t very good on their own end, giving up 3.4 goals per game (23rd), with the 28th-ranked penalty-killing unit in the NHL operating at 73.8%.

We’re siding with Connor Hellbuyck and the Winnipeg Jets to get back on the winning path against the high-scoring Sabres, eeking out a close win.

Buffalo Sabres +1.5 over Winnipeg Jets (-159)

Winnipeg is giving up 2.6 goals per game, ranking fourth in the NHL, while the Jets have the second-best penalty kill in the league, operating at 84.1%. However, the Sabres are the second-highest-scoring team in the NHL, averaging 3.8 goals per game, and have the sixth-ranked powerplay, converting at 25.7%.

The Sabres will challenge the Jets’ defense and will score enough to keep this game close, but losing in the end.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Winnipeg Jets Over 6.5 (-120)

The Jets are excellent defensively and play more low-scoring games, with a 15-31-3 over/under record.

However, the Sabres are one of those teams that could challenge the Jets’ defense and goaltending, forcing this game into the over. The Sabres have a 27-19-1 over/under record.

The Sabres are among the few teams in the league with an offense that can challenge the Jets and potentially push them into the over. Let’s have fun and pick this one to hit the over with a 4-3 final score favoring the Jets.
