NHL Look Ahead; Sunday, January 2, 2022Â
With the NHL coming off of its break in action due to a recent surge of positive COVID tests, every team has had the chance to rest their players and refocus on winning games. Today, we are going to highlight five matchups for later this week and discuss where we should be betting and why. Â
The matchup we are looking at is Anaheim Ducks vs Colorado Avalanche.
Anaheim Ducks Travel to Colorado to Face the Avalanche
This is the third game returning for the Ducks, but somehow the first for the Colorado Avalanche, and that is going to be a major difference as Colorado is unable to get back into game speed and could struggle out of the gates as other teams have played a few games since the shutdown. The Avalanche have not played since December 16.
Anaheim has been an incredible 26-6 against the spread this season, while Colorado is just a mediocre 14-13 against the spread. John Gibson should shut down the Colorado offense so go with the Anaheim Ducks to cover the spread.
