Bad Beat of the week

Bad Beat Atlanta Falcons Bet +2 vs WFT Week 4

Bad Beat on Atlanta Falcons Bet

Our bad beat of the week comes from the NFL: Falcons +2 vs. the Football Team. You could make the argument it could be Falcons money line, but the fact they were up with three minutes left and still didn’t end up covering is what really takes the cake.

Like I said, the Falcons were up by eight points on the visiting Football Team before all hell broke loose in the final four minutes. With 3:52 left, Washington QB Taylor Heinicke scrambled before finding Terry McLaurin in the back of the endzone to cut the lead to two. They attempted a two point conversion to tie but were unsuccessful. If you’re a casual football fan watching this, you’re probably thinking, “No big deal. Atlanta will get it back and wind time off and win.” But the Falcons just love to lose games in spectacular fashion.

Atlanta got the ball back with 3:47 left and proceeded to do absolutely nothing. A run for a loss, a run for a short gain, and a short pass later, they punted from their own 26 with 1:47 left. Washington got the ball back on their own 24 and marched down the field in seven plays to take the lead on a 30 yard catch and run from running back JD McKissick with 33 seconds left. Atlanta got the ball back and tried to sneak out a win, but a Hail Mary from Matt Ryan was batted down in the endzone.

WFT vs FalconsAccording to ESPN, the Falcons had an 88 percent chance of not only covering, but winning outright with six minutes left in the game. Only Atlanta could go from that, to failing to cover the +2 in a matter of minutes. My condolences to anyone who took Atlanta Falcons +2.
