Bad Beats Titans vs Seahawks and Raiders vs Steelers Week 2

Action 247 NFL Week 1 Insider Recap

Tennessee Titans vs Seattle Seahawks

Gone are the days where we need to consider Seattle being at home as a huge factor. The Seahawks were a 6.5-point favorite here against the Titans, and they held a 24-9 lead at halftime. However, the play of running back Derrick Henry carried the offense back into the game as he finished with 35 carries for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

They also dominated the time of possession as Tennessee had the ball for 42:33 in this game. This game ended up going into overtime, and Tennessee kicked a field goal to win on the road and picked up the only loss in the NFC West so far this season.

Las Vegas Raiders vs Pittsburgh Steelers

These are not the Steelers of old, as the offense has struggled enough where they cannot be considered as a contender in the AFC North. They hosted the Las Vegas Raiders, who played on Monday night, and the Raiders played well behind quarterback Derek Carr as he went 28-of-37 for 382 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Ben Roethlisberger is fading quickly, and he looks old on the field as he went 27-of-40 for 295 yards with a touchdown and interception.

There is a cause of concern as the Steelers running back Najee Harris with 26 carries for 83 yards (3.2 yards per carry) has not been able to find the end zone on the ground, and this offensive line is doing him no favors.

Pittsburgh was unable to stop wide receiver Henry Ruggs III as he had five catches for 113 yards and a touchdown to get a 26-17 road win for the Raiders. The Steelers closed as a 5-point favorite at home and now have more questions than answers.
