The 2021 college football season is underway, and now that Week 0’s few games are out of the way, it’s time for a full slate of games in Week 1. The Big 12 is one of the conferences that didn’t have any teams playing in Week 0, so this week marks the opening week for the conference. 

There has been a lot of talk about the Big 12 in the headlines lately as the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners announced that they would be seeking membership in the SEC. This could be our final look at the modern-day Big 12. 

As for the 2021 season, it will play on as planned. When Texas and Oklahoma actually end up in the SEC is unknown. You can bet that every conference game that each of the two teams play will have just a little more aggression from the opposition. 

Big 12 Conference play kicks off on September 18th when the Baylor Bears head to Kansas to play the Jayhawks. The first full week of conference play is set for the week of October 2nd. 

Big 12 play concludes on Thanksgiving weekend. The Big 12 Championship will be played on Saturday, December 4 in Arlington, Texas.
