Boston Celtics Travel to Chicago to Face the Bulls

The Boston Celtics are emerging as a frontrunner to win the Eastern Conference Title. Though we’re far from that game, they’ve beaten some remarkable teams lately. Recently added to their list is the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz.

With the playoffs approaching, the Celtics have the No.3 spot. However, a win here could be what they need to push them to number two.

Following closely behind the Philadelphia 76ers is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have a great offense, but their defense isn’t doing good. In a recent win over the Clippers, the Bulls allowed 130 points.

They can’t afford to have a game like that against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. Chicago will likely come in as underdogs in this game, so who’s the better pick?

In terms of strong offenses, the Boston Celtics rank among the best in the NBA. On average, the Celtics score 110.58 points per game, ranking 15th in the NBA. Although they aren’t in the top ten, the Celtics play complimentary basketball.

Their defense is the best in the NBA, which allows just 104.04 points per game. Because of this, they don’t need to put up a lot of points.

The Chicago Bulls are essentially the opposite of the Boston Celtics. They have to put up a lot of points because they struggle on defense. The Bulls average 111.71 points per game, but their defense gives up 111.17 per game.

So, when they face the Celtics, they don’t only need to stop the Celtics’ offense. They’ll also need to figure out a way to get their own offense going for them.

Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls Betting Prediction

There’s no doubt that this game will be an entertaining one. Each team has highlight-reel players on the roster, and the matchup of Tatum versus DeRozan will be incredible.

However, only one team can come out on top on the scoreboard and at the sportsbook. These two last played each other on January 15th, 2022. The Celtics won the game by two points, 114-112.

The Celtics weren’t able to cover the spread in that game after coming in as 7.5-point favorites. We expect them to be favored by about the same amount of points in this game as well.

The Bulls will also be playing at home this time, giving them a slight advantage. Chicago is currently 27-10 at home. Because of this, we’ll take the upset and add the Chicago Bulls to our ticket. 

This is going to be a close game, one where the total could easily go over. The last three times these teams faced, the Bulls covered the spread all three times. In two of those three games, the total went over, so we’ll take the over as well.
