Cleveland Cavaliers Travel to Indiana to Face the Pacers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled with injuries and poor performance. However, they still hold the number six position in the Eastern Conference. With a favorable matchup here, they can get their season back on track as they face the Pacers.

The good news for the Cavaliers is that they’ll have Darius Garland back in the lineup. This gives them the best chance to win. 

The Indiana Pacers are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Still, this doesn’t mean it’ll be an easy game for the Cavaliers to win. In fact, not long ago, the Indiana Pacers got a key win over the Boston Celtics.

If they can implement the same plan against the Cavaliers, they could come away with a win. They’ll also have the added benefit of playing at home on Tuesday night.

What the Cavaliers do best is play incredible defense; in fact, they have the best defense in the NBA. Allowing only 102.97 points per game, the Cavaliers can rely on their defense in Tuesday’s game.

This will help the Cavaliers overcome the recent slump on offense. The other good news for the Cavaliers is with Garland back; they can focus on distributing the ball better.

The Indiana Pacers actually average more points per game than the Cavaliers. Unfortunately, this hasn’t meant much in terms of winning games. The Pacers struggle primarily on defense, where they allow 112.28 points per game.

If they want to win this game against Cleveland, they’ll need to do much better on defense. Hopefully, we’ll see the Indiana Pacers put up a good fight. 

Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers Betting Prediction

The Cavaliers will come in as clear favorites in this game against Indiana. The last time these two played, the Cavaliers were -6 and won the game 120-113. Considering they covered the spread that time, we’ll take them again in this game.

It’s also important to note that the total went over the expected 216. We can use this to our advantage when betting on the total for Tuesday.

The Cavaliers have a pretty impressive record against the spread this season. To date, they’ve gone 36-25-2 against the spread and have an ATS record of 18-13-2 on the road.

Since they’ve done so well on the road this year, it makes sense to take the Cavaliers. The only thing you’ll need to make sure of is that the spread remains within six points. If not, this becomes tricky. 

The Cavaliers barely covered the spread the last time, so anything over six is questionable. Be sure that if you take the Cavaliers, the spread is six points and under.

In terms of the total, if it’s around 215, you’re safe to bet the over. If the line opens with the total around 220, we’d suggest taking the under.
