Charlotte Hornets Travel to New York to Face the Knicks
The Charlotte Hornets just claimed a recent win over the Utah Jazz, 107-101. They rallied back from a loss the game before and got a much-needed win at home. The team they lost to the game before was none other than the New York Knicks.
Now, they’ll face the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. So, can the Hornets snag a win over the Knicks?
New York needs to win this game if they want any chance of getting into the playoffs. They’re currently at the No.11 position and need a few more wins to get in. With their recent win over the Hornets, the Knicks are coming in with some momentum.
It’s also important to note that they also took down the Miami Heat a few nights ago. Let’s see if we can pick the right team here.Â
Game Preview: Charlotte Hornets at New York Knicks, March 30th
The Hornets have the fifth-best offense in the NBA, averaging 114.84 points per game. They also have the ninth-best three-point shooting team. Shooting 36.13% from beyond the arc, the Hornets could overwhelm the Knicks’ defense.
However, in the previous game, the Hornets’ offense was held to just 106 points. This time, the Knicks could be without PF Julius Randle.
The Knicks performed surprisingly well against the Hornets in the last game. From there, they went on to take down the Miami Heat, 111-103. Immanuel Quickley scored 20 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, leading a fourth-quarter comeback.
If the Knicks can perform this way again, they could take down the Hornets again. Regardless of the victor, this game will be a lot of fun.
Charlotte Hornets at New York Knicks Betting Prediction
In the game on March 23rd, the Hornets came into the game as 8.5-point favorites. We’ll have to see if the spread is set to around the same amount on Wednesday. There’s a big part missing for the Knicks here, though, as Julius Randle is on the injury list.
Randle being out removes a big part of the Knicks’ offensive and defensive abilities. Still, they beat the Miami Heat without him.
The Hornets’ offense will do what they can to get a quick start against the Knicks. Over their last three games against New York, they’ve gone 2-1 against the spread. On the road, the Hornets have a 20-15-1 record against the spread.
Considering they’ve done great at covering spreads this season, we’ll take them to cover here. Randle being out is why we can’t take the Knicks.Â
When betting on the total, you have to take the Hornets’ offense into consideration. They’ve had a tough couple of games, but we think they’ll bounce back in terms of scoring here.
The Knicks have a tough defense, but they could be missing a few pieces. Because of this, we’ll take the over.
