Los Angeles Clippers Travel to San Francisco to Face the Warriors
Although they’re dealing with a lot of injuries, the Clippers are still in the top eight of the Western Conference. They’ve been able to win these games because everyone else on the team has elevated their game.
Now, they’re facing one of the best scoring teams when they take on the Warriors. Can the Los Angeles Clippers pull off a significant win over a conference rival?
The Warriors have run into some bad luck in the injury department as well. Gary Payton II is the latest player to land on the injury list that continues to grow. As we head into the last portion of the season, these injuries could become a problem.
First, they’ll need to get back on the winning track. A way they can do this is by taking down the Los Angeles Clippers at home on Tuesday.
Game Preview: Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors March 8th
The Los Angeles Clippers offense has struggled to put points on the board this season. On average, the Clippers are only scoring 107.18 points per game, 23rd in the NBA.
This is going to be a problem when they face the Warriors, who have an incredible offense. If the Clippers want to win this game, they’ll have to rely on their 10th ranked defense to shut down the Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors offense is shooting 36.11% from the three-point line. Considering some of their best interior players are unavailable, they’ll need a great shooting night.
Unfortunately, the Clippers’ defense is pretty good at defending players from beyond the arc. This season, opponents have only been able to shoot 33.78% from beyond the arc against L.A.
Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors Betting Prediction
The last time these two played was in mid-February of 2022. The Los Angeles Clippers came into the game as six-point underdogs and won 119-104. We expect that the spread could be similar but slightly lower this time.
Over the last ten games, the Clippers have gone 6-4 against the Golden State Warriors. With the injuries to Golden State, we’ll take the Clippers in this one.
Los Angeles has done a good job at covering spreads this season. On the road, they’ve gone 18-15 against the spread, giving us even more confidence in them here. The injuries have given them a little bit of trouble, but they’ve done well over the last week.
They took down the Lakers twice and the Rockets three times. We think they’ll get their most significant win on Tuesday.
If you’re betting on the total, it’s likely a good idea to take the under here. Each of these teams have fairly good defenses, and they’re both dealing with injuries.
We don’t think the Clippers will be able to put up as many points this time. Take the Los Angeles Clippers against the spread and the under here.
