Coyotes at Senators Betting Preview and Predictions

Arizona Coyotes Travel to Ottawa to Face the Senators

On Monday evening, the Arizona Coyotes will head to the Canadian Tire Centre to take on the Ottawa Senators in a non-conference matchup. This is the second and final regular-season game as the Coyotes picked up an 8-5 home victory over the Senators back on March 5.

The Coyotes are last in the Central Division (17-35-4, 38 points), while the Senators are currently sixth in the Atlantic Division (20-31-5, 45 points) this season.

These teams are both struggling this year, so this is a game they believe they can pick up a victory. Let’s take a deeper dive into the matchup to determine where we should be betting.

Game Preview: Arizona Coyotes at Ottawa Senators March 14

The Coyotes have been struggling a bit offensively as they are averaging 2.50 goals on 26.1 shot attempts per game while the Senators are scoring 2.61 goals on 30.1 shots so far.

Arizona is being led by right winger Clayton Keller as he leads the team in all three facets with 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) with seven points in the last two games. On the Ottawa side of things, they are being led by left winger Brady Tkachuk as he has recorded 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) with two points scored in his previous four games played.

Goalie Karel Vejmelka has been a little off this season as he is 9-21-1 with 3.38 goals and a 90.4 save percentage for the Coyotes, while goaltender Anton Forsberg is doing a bit better with a 12-10-2 record with a 92.1 save percentage and 2.69 goals allowed. The defense has been struggling a little bit as Arizona is allowing 3.55 goals on 34.8 shot attempts while Ottawa is giving up 3.20 goals per game on 33.8 shots.

Arizona Coyotes at Ottawa Senators Betting Prediction

These teams just faced off last week, but the main difference is that bad teams are inconsistent. This means that they are more likely to split than have another great game, and with the injuries to left winger Antoine Roussel and right winger Phil Kessel, the wing play and rotation for the Coyotes is going to struggle a bit in this matchup.

The Coyotes are just 8-15-3 on the road this season and are in the midst of a road trip, so they are not going to be playing too well in this game.

Arizona is not a great team. Ottawa is 30-26 against the spread this season, while Arizona is currently 28-28 against the spread thus far.

Both teams have struggled this season, but it is hard to look past the Senators. All in all, go with the Ottawa Senators to cover the puck line.
