Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 3:30pm CST NFL Division Round
We stayed hot in the Super Wildcard Round to the tune of a 4-2 weekend. That’s pretty good, especially for the playoffs, but I’m eying a clean 4-0 sweep for the Divisional Round. Since there are only four games this weekend, and we have been so good this year, I will be giving a full writeup for every game this weekend. Let’s ride.
Cincinnati Bengals Travel to Nashville to Face the Tennessee Titans
Two infamous streaks are on the line this Saturday. The Titans are trying to win their first home playoff game since 2002, while the Bengals will be looking to win their first road playoff game EVER. Cincy will probably be the public underdog this weekend, but it is important to remember the Titans had the coveted first-round bye. That is important because Mike Vrabel is a perfect 8-0 with Tennessee on long rest.
“But Chris, just because they won doesn’t mean they covered.” Well that is where you’re wrong, my friend. With Ryan Tannehill under center, the Titans are 6-0 ATS with extra rest. And let’s not forget the return of Derrick Henry. The man has not played since October. The King is hungry, and he will be looking to eat on Saturday.
It is no secret the Bengals love to hit the big play. With Joe Burrow, Ja’mar Chase, and Joe Mixon, they make hitting big plays look easy. While they have one of the most entertaining offenses in football, they do have one glaring weakness: pass protection.
The offensive line gave up 55 sacks this year, third most in the NFL. The Titans defensive front is licking their chops preparing for this game. Tennessee recorded 47 sacks this year (top 10 in the league), and are averaging over four sacks per game in their last three games.
Battle of Two Different Styles
This is a battle of two very different styles. Cincy wants to hit the deep ball, and the Titans want to muck it up in the trenches. The Bengals magical season will come to an end on Saturday. Give me one seed to cover at home.
We’re in for one hell of a weekend, boys and girls. I’ve crunched the numbers and there’s no way all these bets don’t win. We are going to continue our season of dominance. Pray for your bookie.
