We stayed hot in the Super Wildcard Round to the tune of a 4-2 weekend. That’s pretty good, especially for the playoffs, but I’m eying a clean 4-0 sweep for the Divisional Round. Since there are only four games this weekend, and we have been so good this year, I will be giving a full writeup for every game this weekend. Let’s ride.

Los Angeles Rams Travel to Tampa to Face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Two of the most high powered offenses in the NFC will meet in Tampa to kickoff our Sunday action. These two teams met in the regular season and they combined for 58 points in a 34-24 Rams victory. I’m not saying we will see that many points again, but a high scoring game is likely. Both defenses have impressive fronts, both had great days last week against inferior competition, but lack the depth in the secondary. The Rams have been hit so hard with injuries to the point they had to sign Eric Weddle off his couch.

No offense to Mr. Weddle, but a 37 year old safety, fresh out of retirement, shouldn’t exactly strike fear in the heart of Tom Brady. The same Brady who led the league in passing yards and touchdowns. It doesn’t hurt he also has a top five rushing attack. Yes, they are missing a few weapons, but they picked apart the poor Eagles last week with ease.

Battle of the Offense

The Rams offense was run heavy last week against Arizona, but they will have to air it out more in this game. Tampa has a formidable run defense so Sean McVay knows he will have to push the ball downfield. Especially if the Bucs put points up early. LA definitely has the weapons to throw the ball. Cooper Kupp is one of the best receivers in the league and Odell Beckham has started to get back to his old self. It also doesn’t hurt to have a deep ball threat like Van Jefferson in the slot. 

When these two teams meet, points aren’t exactly hard to come by. The over has hit the last five times they have met. The total has also gone over in eight of the Rams last nine games as a road underdog. I like both of those trends to continue here.

We’re in for one hell of a weekend, boys and girls. I’ve crunched the numbers and there’s no way all these bets don’t win. We are going to continue our season of dominance. Pray for your bookie.
