Here’s an overview of some of the top games in sports being played on April 25th. Today, we’re taking a closer look at five games from MLB, the NBA Playoffs, and the NHL.

Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets – 7:00 PM ET

With Game 4 finally here, the Boston Celtics have a 3-0 lead in the series. Surprisingly enough, the Nets haven’t offered up much resistance in this series. As long as Boston can focus on their defense, which is the best in the NBA, they should be fine. Although they’ve won the last three games, they still come in as underdogs tonight.

For the Nets, the key to winning this one is with Kevin Durant. His shot selection has been poor and overall his performance has been lackluster. Kyrie Irving is also to blame for the Nets’ lack of success. This is their last chance to prove they belong in the playoffs. Lucky for them they’ll be playing at home. However, if they’re eliminated, the crowd will let them hear it.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Chicago Blackhawks – 8:00 PM ET

Mixing a little bit of hockey action into the mix, we’ll see the Flyers face the Blackhawks. This is the only NHL game of the night and it’s shaping up to be a good one. The Flyers have won their last two games, taking down the Canadiens and the Penguins. Unfortunately, the injury list for the Flyers continues to grow. At the moment they have five players ruled out tonight.

The Blackhawks will need to take advantage of the injuries on the Flyers’ side. After losing their last two games, the Blackhawks have fallen to 26-42-11 this season. Neither of these teams will be making the playoffs, but they should provide an entertaining game tonight.

Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers – 8:00 PM ET

Pivoting back to basketball, we’ll see Game 5 between the Raptors and 76ers. At the moment, the Raptors are down 3-1 in this series. The team was on the brink of elimination in Game 4 but rallied together to secure a 110-102 victory. If they can find a way to slow down Joel Embiid again, they could steal another from Philadelphia.

The way we see it, the 76ers need to end this series now to make a statement. James Harden also needs to up his output for the team. In their recent loss to the Raptors, Harden scored just 22 points, shooting 5 for 17. With such poor shooting, it shouldn’t be surprising that the Raptors won the game.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Los Angeles Angels – 9:38 PM ET

Taking a look at the baseball games of the day, this one sticks out. The Cleveland Guardians are 7-8 and were recently swept by the New York Yankees. Getting a win over the Angels here will be a great way for them to get back on track. As a team, the Guardians have the third-best batting average in MLB at .264.

On the mound for the Angels is Michael Lorenzen, who is 1-1 this season. His opponent is Shane Bieber, who has a 1-0 record this season. Lorenzen has his work cut out for him as he takes on the Guardians batters. Although they lost the series to the Orioles, the Angels were able to win the final game. They’ll look to start a winning streak against Cleveland.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40 PM ET

Our final game of the day will see the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers, currently 11-4, will have the 1-1 Walker Buehler on the mound today. With an ERA of 4.02, he faces tough competition in Merrill Kelly, who is 1-0 this year. The Dodgers batters rank second in runs this season at 82 and sixth in on-base percentage at .333.

For the Arizona Diamondbacks, this series is a critical one. They’ll try to get a fast start by putting Kelly on the mound, who has an ERA of 0.59. The real key for the Diamondbacks here is batting. They rank as one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball in terms of team batting average. If they can’t get players on base, it won’t matter how strong Kelly performs.
