Daily Sports Bets for Friday, June 3

Here’s an overview of some of the top games in sports being played on June 3. Today, we’re taking a closer look at five games from Major League Baseball and the NHL Playoffs.

Washington Nationals vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ETnationals vs reds baseball betting

Kicking off our daily sports bets is the Washington Nationals at the Cincinnati Reds. The Nationals, 18-35 this season, are 9-17 when traveling. Frankly, this doesn’t bode well for their chances against the Reds tonight. On the mound for the Nationals is Josiah Gray, who does have a 5-4 record this season. Gray has an ERA of 5.08 over 51.1 innings pitched.

The Reds will start Mike Minor, the left-handed pitcher who has yet to pitch this season. Yesterday, the Reds beat the Nationals rather easily, 8-1. Tonight, they’ll once again try to add another win under their belt, moving to 19-32. Although each of these teams has similar records right now, the Reds are the better team. We’ll take Cincinnati -135.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles – 7:05 PM ETguardians vs orioles baseball betting

Moving on, we’ll see the Cleveland Guardians face the Baltimore Orioles. The Guardians are coming off a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals. With momentum and morale high, they’ll try to get a Game 1 win over the 22-31 Orioles. Cleveland has a team batting average of .245 this season. They’ll have the 2-3 Shane Bieber take the mound for them tonight.

The Baltimore Orioles have lost three of their last five games. With a record of 13-13 at home, they’ll hope to slow down the batters of the Guardians. However, this is much easier said than done. On the mound tonight is the 2-3 Bruce Zimmermann, who has an ERA of 4.53. With the Guardians having an edge on the mound and at the plate, we’ll take them -140.

Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees – 7:05 PM ETtigers vs yankees baseball betting

This is a game we’d consider a “must-watch”, especially with Gerrit Cole of the Yankees playing. The Tigers might have a bad record right now (21-30), but they’ve won four of their last five games. The team they won this five-game series against was the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota is currently ranked first in the AL Central, so this was a notable series win.

As mentioned above, the New York Yankees will start Gerrit Cole on the mound today. Cole has a record of 4-1 this season with an ERA of 3.12. For the Tigers, the 0-0 Elvin Rodriguez will be tasked with stopping the Yankees batters. We believe the Yankees will win this game by quite a few runs. We’ll take New York -345 in tonight’s game.

Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07 PM ETtwins vs blue jays baseball betting

Only a few minutes after the Yankees game begins, this one will start. The Minnesota Twins, 30-23 and first in the AL Central, will face the Toronto Blue Jays (30-20). The Twins come in as +180 underdogs in this game, this is likely due to their three straight losses. Chi Chi Gonzalez, who has yet to pitch for the Twins this season, will get the start.

The Blue Jays are sending out Yusei Kikuchi, the 2-1 LHP to the mound tonight. These two teams are pretty much even everywhere else aside from pitching. The Blue Jays have arguably a better bullpen, which will help them tonight. They’re also 17-8 at home this season, giving them an even better chance. We’ll go with the Blue Jays -210 here.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New York Rangers – 8:00 PM ETlightning vs rangers hockey betting

There is only one NHL game tonight and it’s between the Lightning and the Rangers. Tampa Bay took a 6-2 loss to the Rangers to kick this series off. Now, down 1-0 in the series, the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions will have to find a way to avoid a second loss. Unfortunately for them, they’re traveling on the road and the Rangers are 27-10-4 at home this season.

The Rangers got off to a fast start in Game 1 of the series. Now, they can get a two-game lead with a win over the Lightning tonight. Left winger Sammy Blais is on the injured reserve so he won’t be in the game tonight. The Lightning will also be without center Brayden Point in tonight’s game. Still, we’ll take the Lightning to pull off a Game 2 win on the road -130.
