They’ve also already clinched a playoff berth, so a win here would help with positioning. With the playoffs getting closer, each game for the Mavericks is vital to their spot.

The Detroit Pistons have already been eliminated from the playoffs. However, this doesn’t mean they won’t take these games seriously. In fact, at the time of writing, the Pistons have won two games in a row.

One of these games was a 102-94 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. This shows the Pistons can pull off an upset. The question is whether they can take down the Mavericks. We should be in for an exciting match!

It’s interesting because they’ve still been able to win 48 games this year without a great offense. Dallas focuses on efficiency; if their offense is efficient, they don’t have to score a lot. 

The Detroit Pistons have an offense that averages only 104.48 points per game. From a shooting percentage standpoint, the Mavericks have them beat as well. The Pistons were able to score 122 points in a win over the Atlanta Hawks, though.

It’s important to not underestimate the Pistons’ ability to pull off an upset. They’re also pretty great when it comes to the sportsbook.

Dallas Mavericks at Detroit Pistons Betting Prediction

Although we think the Pistons are capable of pulling off upsets, we don’t think it will happen here. They last faced the Mavericks in early February and came in as 11-point underdogs.

Dallas easily beat the Pistons 116-86, as the defense of the Mavericks proved to be too much for Detroit. We expect a similar spread and a similar outcome when this game is over.

The Mavericks have been incredible against the spread this season. Currently, they have a record of 44-33-1 against the spread. Their ATS record on the road this year is 22-17, a great record when traveling.

Because of this and their ability to limit opposing teams’ offenses, we’ll take the Dallas Mavericks. Even if the spread has them at -11, they’re the best pick.

In terms of betting on the total, we’d recommend taking the under. When going over their season, the Mavericks have gone 28-48-2 against the total. Even the Pistons have gone under more often than over this season.
