NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Tuesday, January 4, 2022

College basketball is now in full swing of the conference slate. Most teams played one or two conference games in December, but we will only be seeing conference games from now until the end of the year.

Teams have used the first weeks of the season to get ready for conference play, as now we will see which teams are contenders and which teams have been propped up by an easy non-conference slate.

With 2022 on the horizon, we will see some great conference games in the first week of the year. We highlight Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs Duke Blue Devils.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets North Carolina to Face Duke Blue Devils

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will travel to take on the Duke Blue Devils on the fourth of January. Georgia Tech is 6-5 this year, while Duke is 11-1 and ranked #2 in the country.

Georgia Tech had lost four games in a row before beating Georgia State in overtime in their last outing. Since losing to Ohio State in the Big Ten/ACC challenge, Duke has won four games in a row.

Duke is scoring 85.3 points per game this year and allowing just 64.4 points a game. Georgia Tech is scoring 69.2 points per game and allowing 67.6 points per game this year.

This will be a very tough game for Georgia Tech as Duke is very good on both sides of the basketball. I would lean Duke in this one at home and against a struggling Georgia Tech team.  Duke should be able to hold on to its #2 spot in the country for another week.
