NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Tuesday, January 4, 2022

College basketball is now in full swing of the conference slate. Most teams played one or two conference games in December, but we will only be seeing conference games from now until the end of the year.

Teams have used the first weeks of the season to get ready for conference play, as now we will see which teams are contenders and which teams have been propped up by an easy non-conference slate.

With 2022 on the horizon, we will see some great conference games in the first week of the year. We highlight Kentucky Wildcats vs LSU Tigers.

Kentucky Wildcats Travel to Louisiana to Face the LSU Tigers

The Kentucky Wildcats will travel to LSU to take on the Tigers in an important SEC matchup. The Wildcats are 10-2 on the season and are ranked #18 in the country.

The Tigers are 12-1 on the season and are ranked #16 in the country. LSU is coming off a loss to Auburn while Kentucky is riding a three-game win streak.

Kentucky has a high-powered offense that scores 83.3 points a game, and they only allow 61.5 points a game. LSU has allowed 55.3 points a game while scoring 77.7 points a game.

This year, LSU has played some pretty easy competition, so their 55.3 points allowed per game is slightly misleading. I lean toward Kentucky to win this one on the road. No matter what this will be a great matchup for both teams.
