Thursday, November 11, 2021; 9:30 pm CT: Miami Heat at Los Angeles Clippers

The NBA kicks off another week of basketball with the Golden State Warriors in control of the Western Conference. They have to keep the pace up, though, as the Utah Jazz is right on their trail.

The Warriors aren’t the only team doing well in the West, though; the Dallas Mavericks are red hot too. Although it’s early in the season, each of these teams is fighting for positioning. 

In the Eastern Conference, there’s only one team better than the Miami Heat. The Philadelphia 76ers have a slight lead in the conference, but Miami is following closely. Both the 76ers and Heat will face some tough competition this week.

We could see the top spots in the Eastern Conference shuffle by the time the week ends. Let’s take a look at some of this week’s games.

East versus west battle takes place between the Heat and the Clippers on Thursday. The Miami Heat have one of the most complete offenses in the NBA. Each player pulls their weight every single game, which will help them against the Clippers.

There aren’t many teams better against the spread than the Miami Heat, either. Currently, they’re 7-2 against the spread. 

The Los Angeles Clippers haven’t had a great start to their season. Currently, they’re 4-4 and have the same record against the spread. Injuries to Kawhi Leonard, Serge Ibaka, and Marcus Morris have crippled them.

Take the Miami Heat in this one; the Clippers won’t be able to compete with the Heat offense.
