It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Thursday’s schedule.
Miami Marlins vs. Cincinnati Reds – 12:35 PM ET
Kicking off our best bets of the day is an early game between the Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds. The Marlins, fresh off of a 5-3 loss to the Reds yesterday will look to bounce back tonight. The team has yet to name their starting pitcher tonight but that might not matter as much. With a team that’s batting .238, the Reds might be able to walk away with this one.
On the mound for the Cincinnati Reds is Graham Ashcraft, the 4-2 right-handed pitcher. With an ERA of 4.70, Ashcraft might not look like much but he can win games. The Reds also have a slight edge in terms of batting with an average of .240. With the way the Reds have played, we’ll take them at home over the Marlins.
Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees – 7:05 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals have lost two of their last five games, two of which were to the Los Angeles Angels. With a record of 39-59, the Royals face a much tougher team than the Angels tonight. This four-game series against the New York Yankees will put the Royals pitching to the ultimate test. On the mound tonight is the 4-3 Brady Singer with an ERA of 3.82.
The New York Yankees aren’t unbeatable but they’re pretty close. This season, the Yankees have a record of 66-33 but more importantly are 37-12 at home. Getting the start tonight is one of the Yankees best pitchers, Jameson Taillon. Taillon has a record of 10-2 this season and has an ERA of 3.93. This one is a clear pick for us, we’ll take the Yankees +235.
Cleveland Guardians vs. Boston Red Sox – 7:10 PM ET
Leading the series 2-1, the Cleveland Guardians head into the final game of this series. Yesterday’s 7-6 win likely boosted the confidence of the Guardians who have now won two in a row. Getting the nod to take the mound tonight is Triston McKenzie, who is 7-6 this season. McKenzie has an ERA of 3.11 which is quite the impressive ERA.
The Red Sox are one of the best batting teams in MLB but they’ve lost four of their last five. Considering they’re facing a team that has beaten them twice in a row, their backs are against the wall. The big problem for the Red Sox here is that Kutter Crawford is getting the start. Crawford is 2-3 this season with a 4.50 ERA, the Guardians at -120 are the better pick.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies – 8:40 PM ET
As we head into this NL West matchup all eyes are on the Los Angeles Dodgers. With a record of 65-32, the Dodgers are on their way to overtaking the most wins in the league. To do that, they’ll need to continue winning games, including this one. The Dodgers are sending out the best pitcher to accomplish this, Tyler Anderson.
Anderson has a record of 10-1 this season with an incredible 2.79 ERA. Although the Dodgers are on the road, they’re clearly the better pick in this game. The Rockies are starting Jose Urena, who is 1-2 with a 3.13 ERA. Urena has a good ERA but the Rockies just don’t have enough to win this one. Our pick is the Los Angeles Dodgers at -210.
Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles Angels – 9:38 PM ET
The last game that we’ll go over is the Texas Rangers against the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers have a record of 43-54 after losing three straight games. Taking on the Angels gives them a chance to get back on track. However, with Spencer Howard on the mound, the Rangers are at a massive disadvantage. Howard has a record of 1-2 with a 7.11 ERA.
The Los Angeles Angels need to take advantage of their opponent tonight. With Howard on the mound, the bats for the Angels should be able to win them this game. Shohei Ohtani is on the mound for the Angels today making their chances even better. Ohtani has an ERA of 2.80 and a record of 9-5. Look for the Angels to win this one at home -235.
