It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Wednesday’s schedule.

New York Mets vs. Houston Astros – 1:10 PM ET

When thinking about these two teams, we could be set up for a great matchup. The New York Mets, with a record of 45-25, face the 42-25 Houston Astros. The Mets lost to the Astros yesterday with a score of 8-2. This marked their second loss in five games and today they’ll hope to bounce back. On the mound tonight is the 8-2 Carlos Carrasco.

Carrasco and his ERA of 3.96 should do well against the Astros batters. However, he’s not the only great starting pitcher tonight. The Houston Astros will send out Luis Garcia, who is 4-5. Although his record isn’t great, Garcia has an ERA of 3.41, slightly better than Carrasco’s. Still, we think the Mets will come out on top in this one at +120.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Texas Rangers – 4:05 PM ET

Jumping ahead into the afternoon, we’ll see the Phillies face the Rangers. Yesterday didn’t turn out too well for the Phillies, who lost the game to the Rangers 7-0. Pitching was a big problem for the Phillies yesterday but they’ll try to remedy that with Zack Wheeler. Wheeler is 6-3 as a starter with an impressive 2.69 ERA.

The Texas Rangers will start Jon Gray, the 2-3 RHP with an ERA of 4.27. The Phillies also have an edge over the Texas Rangers when it comes to batting. The Phillies have an average of .248 this season compared to the Rangers’ .236. Look for the Phillies (-135) to bounce back from yesterday’s loss and win this one.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

The Dodgers were able to snag an easy win over the Reds yesterday. They beat Cincinnati with a score of 8-2 and will look to do so again today. Getting the start is Tyler Anderson, who has an 8-0 record this season with an ERA of 2.82. The Dodgers batting is also rather impressive with a team average of .250.

This is going to be a tough game for the Reds as it is for any team facing the Dodgers. However, they’ll have a fairly good pitcher on the mound today, Luis Castillo. Although his 2-4 record doesn’t reflect it, Castillo has an ERA of 3.33. Although it’s unlikely, we feel as if there is an upset brewing in Cincinnati. We’ll take the Reds at +130.

San Francisco Giants vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

This series so far has been an entertaining one, especially yesterday’s game. The Giants edged out the Braves with a 12-10 win last night bringing the series to 1-1. Tonight, San Francisco will send out the 6-4 Carlos Rodon to face the Braves batters. Rodon has an ERA of 2.84 this season, one of the best in Major League Baseball.

The Braves, however, have excelled at the plate this season with an average of .248. Their on-base percentage is .314 and have scored 329 runs. However, they’ve had a tough stretch, winning just two of their last five games. On the mound tonight is Charlie Morton, who has a 4-3 record this season. We’ll go with the Giants to win this one on the road at +110.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers – 8:10 PM ET

Our final game of the day is the St. Louis Cardinals at the Milwaukee Brewers. This series is split at 1-1 after the Cardinals earned a 6-2 win last night. St. Louis is a strong batting team with an average of .254 this season. They also have Adam Wainwright on the mound tonight, who is 5-5 with a 3.06 ERA. However, the Brewers are bringing out one of their best as well.

Getting the start for the Brewers today is Eric Lauer, who is 6-2 as a starter. Lauer and his ERA of 3.57 should be able to hold off the Cardinals batters. Milwaukee also has some strong batters of their own, especially Rowdy Tellez. The first baseman has an average of .251 this season, which leads the team. Tonight, we’ll take the Brewers to win this one at -125.
