MLB Best Bets for June 29, 2022

It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Wednesday’s schedule.

Detroit Tigers vs. San Francisco Giants – 3:45 PM ETtigers vs diamondbacks baseball betting

Our first game of the day will see the Detroit Tigers face the San Francisco Giants. The Tigers, with a record of 28-45 are 10-23 when traveling. Yesterday, they suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to the Giants as their road stretch continues. However, they did win their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, two games to one. On the mound tonight is the 2-2 Rony Garcia.

The San Francisco Giants will send out Alex Wood, who is 5-6 as a starter. The Giants are 40-33 this season and rank third overall in the NL West. A few more wins and they can continue to move up the NL West ladder. Their performance at the plate will make the biggest difference here, so we’ll take San Francisco -210.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 7:05 PM ETbraves vs phillies baseball betting

Jumping ahead to later in the evening, we’ll see the Braves face the Phillies. Atlanta has won just three of their last five games, the most recent win being against Philadelphia. Yesterday’s 5-3 victory could be attributed to a few things. For starters, the Braves have better pitching. Today, the 8-4 Kyle Wright will get the start for Atlanta, Wright has an ERA of 3.18.

It’s important to remember that the Phillies are missing Bryce Harper. Harper led the team in batting average with a .318. Without him, their ability at the plate takes a massive hit. Taking the mound for them tonight is LHP Ranger Suarez. Suarez is 6-4 as a starter with a 4.23 ERA this season. Still, even with Suarez on the mound, we’ll take the Braves -140 here.

Miami Marlins vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ETmarlins vs cardinals baseball betting

The Miami Marlins lost 5-3 to the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday, this marks their fourth loss in five games. Their record this season is 33-40, so they aren’t far from the .500 mark. However, they need to win these close games in order to achieve it. The good news for the Marlins is that Sandy Alcantara will get the start tonight. Alcantara is 7-3 as a starter with a 1.95 ERA.

Alcantara gives the Marlins their best shot at winning this game. It’s also good for the Marlins that Andre Pallante is starting for the Cardinals. Pallante is 2-3 this season but has an impressive 2.03 ERA over 48.2 innings. The Marlins could be getting a few players back today, including Jazz Chisolm. We’ll go with Miami and Alcantara to win this one on the road -130.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs – 8:05 PM ETreds vs cubs baseball betting

The Cincinnati Reds pulled off a 5-3 win over the Chicago Cubs yesterday. Prior to that, they beat the San Francisco Giants 10-3. It’s clear that the Reds are a much better team than many give them credit for. Tonight, they’ll have another chance to take down the Cubs but Hunter Greene is starting. Greene is 3-8 as a starter with a 5.66 ERA over 70.0 innings.

The Cubs will also send out a pitcher who is struggling this season, Justin Steele. Steele has a record of 2-5 this season with an ERA of 4.59. The Cubs have lost three of their last five games, mostly due to injuries. Starting pitcher Marcus Stroman has been out along with right-fielder Seiya Suzuki. Even with the injuries, we’ll take the Cubs to win at home tonight -140.

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels – 9:38 PM ETwhite sox vs angels baseball betting

Our final game of the night is between the White Sox and Los Angeles Angels. The White Sox were able to pull off an 11-4 win over the Angels yesterday. At the plate, the White Sox rank among the best teams in the MLB with a batting average of .254. Michael Kopech, who is 2-4 as a starter, will take the mound tonight. He’ll face some tough competition on the other side.

Shohei Ohtani will get the start for the Angels tonight. Ohtani has a record of 6-4 with an impressive 2.90 ERA. The Angels have had a tough season with a record of 36-41. However, they aren’t far from .500, they just need to string a few wins together. With Ohtani on the mound, they have the best chance of winning. We’ll take Los Angeles at -180 in this one.
