It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Monday’s schedule.

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs begin their series against the Cincinnati Reds today. Coming off a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Cubs will try to carry that momentum into today’s game. On the mound for Chicago is the 1-5 Drew Smyly, who has an ERA of 3.97. Lucky for the Cubs, the Reds are starting an even worse pitcher than Smyly.

Cincinnati will send out the 0-5 Vladimir Gutierrez, who has had an awful start to the season. With an ERA of 8.65, the Reds will have a rough start to the game, especially against the Cubs batters. Chicago’s batters have a team batting average of .232, which is far ahead of the Reds. Look for the Cubs to begin this series with a win, we’ll take Chicago -120.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

The next game we’ll take a look at is the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves. The Phillies just finished their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In that series, they lost two out of three games but won the final game of the series. Getting the start at the pitcher position today is Zack Wheeler, who has a 2-3 record. Wheeler’s ERA of 3.49 is good considering his record.

The Atlanta Braves will send Tucker Davidson out to the mound. Davidson is 1-0 this season but has only pitched 7.2 innings. Atlanta’s batting average is also much worse than the Phillies at .224. Still, Atlanta has won three of their last five games and has an advantage on the mound. We’ll go with the home team tonight, the Atlanta Braves +105.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ET

The Blue Jays and the Cardinals have a short series, just two games. Third, in the NL East, the Toronto Blue Jays will look to improve its 22-19 record. Taking the mound for the Blue Jays is the 3-2 Jose Berrios, who has an ERA of 4.83. Toronto is coming off of a 3-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. Perhaps they’ll have a tough time beating St. Louis tonight.

The Cardinals have won three games in a row, sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates. Keeping that momentum going, the Cardinals are also second in the NL Central. Miles Mikolas, the starting pitcher tonight, has a record of 3-2 as well. His ERA, however, is much better than Berrios at 1.68. Look for the Cardinals to secure a win in tonight’s game -120.

Kansas City Royals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40 PM ET

The Kansas City Royals have a 14-26 record so far this season. Zack Greinke, the pitcher starting tonight, has an 0-2 record as a starter. Over the course of 44 innings, Greinke has thrown 18 strikeouts and has an ERA of 3.48. It’s not a bad ERA, the problem is the Royals batters haven’t capitalized on his performances.

The Diamondbacks are 21-22 this season, and their batters have struggled as well. With a team batting average of .212, they’ll hope to perform much better today. Through their last five games, the Diamondbacks have won three of them. All three were against the Chicago Cubs, so keep that in mind. With Zach Davies on the mound, we’ll take the Royals -105.

New York Mets vs. San Francisco Giants – 9:45 PM ET

The New York Mets had a strong game against the Colorado Rockies yesterday. They finished the game 2-0 after a great pitching outing from Taijuan Walker. Tonight, David Peterson will get the start for the Mets, Peterson has a record of 1-0 this season. His ERA is 1.89 through 19 innings pitched. He’ll also receive help from some of the best batters in Major League Baseball.

The San Francisco Giants will send out Alex Cobb, who has an impressive 3-1 record. Cobb’s ERA of 5.61, however, is less impressive. Facing the Mets batters won’t be an easy task, especially with how the Giants have performed. Through their last five games, the Giants have lost four straight. We’ll take the Mets tonight +125 over the Giants.
