Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Guardians – 6:10 PM ET

Our first game of the day is between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians. The Royals have now lost two games in a row, bringing their record to 16-31. Their most recent game was a 7-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians yesterday. Tonight, they’ll send the 2-3 Daniel Lynch out to the mound in hopes of a better outing.

The Cleveland Guardians will start the 1-3 Cal Quantrill. Quantrill doesn’t have a great record, but his ERA isn’t bad at 3.42. The Guardians also have an advantage over the Royals in terms of batting with a .243 team batting average. Look for the Guardians to get another win at home against the Royals.

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 6:45 PM ET

The San Francisco Giants narrowly beat the Phillies 5-4 yesterday. The game was forced to extra innings but the Giants pulled it out with a single run. Today, they’ll look to get their 27th win of the season. On the mound tonight is Jakob Junis, who has a 2-1 record as a starter. Junis has an ERA of 2.76, he’ll need it against the Phillies batters.

The Philadelphia Phillies are 21-28 with an 11-14 record at home this season. The 4-3 SP Ranger Suarez will get the start on the mound for them tonight. One thing you can rely on is the Phillies batters performing well. However, the Giants actually have a slight edge in this category so we’ll take San Francisco +120.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Boston Red Sox – 7:10 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds come off of a 6-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Today, they’ll head out to Boston to face the 23-26 Red Sox. It’s no secret that the Reds have struggled to win games this season. However, through their last five games, Cincinnati has won four of them. The bad news is they’ll have the 1-2, Luis Castillo, on the mound for them today.

The Boston Red Sox will start one of their stronger pitchers tonight, Michael Wacha. Wacha has a 3-0 record with a 2.83 ERA this season. As a team, the Red Sox have a batting average of .260, which is much better than Cincinnati. Look for the Red Sox to secure a win at home against Cincinnati -140.

San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ET

After suffering a 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, the Padres will prepare for Game 2. With a 30-18 record, many believed the Padres were a sho-in for Game 1 of the series. However, they struggled at the plate and the Cardinals excelled. Blake Snell will get the start for the Padres today, Snell has a record of 0-2 as a starter.

For the Cardinals, the 5-4 Adam Wainwright will get the start. Although Wainwright has more losses under his belt he has a much better ERA at 3.12 than Snell. Snell’s ERA is at 6.00 giving the Cardinals batters something to look forward to. We’ll go with the home team here as well due to the difference in pitching.

Atlanta Braves vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40 PM ET

Our final game of the night is between the Braves and the Diamondbacks. The Atlanta Braves have a 23-26 record after their 6-2 loss to the Diamondbacks yesterday. Charlie Morton, who is 3-3 this season, will take the mound for the Braves. After their performance yesterday it’s hard to trust the Braves to win this one.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will start the 3-2 Humberto Castellanos on the mound. Castellanos has an ERA of 5.22, only slightly better than Morton’s 5.28. Although the Diamondbacks won yesterday, they’ve still lost four of their last five. We expect the Braves to bounce back against Arizona today, we’ll take Atlanta -160.
