It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Friday’s schedule.

Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – 6:35 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs come into this game as -110 favorites, just like the Pittsburgh Pirates. The difference here is the Cubs have won their last three games. On the mound for Chicago today is Javier Assad, who is 1-2 with an ERA of 3.86. They have a team batting average of .240, which is much better than the Pirates’.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have a 55-95 record leading into this game. Currently, on a seven-game losing streak, the Pirates have had a rough few weeks. On the mound tonight is Bryse Wilson, who has a 3-9 record and an ERA of 6.07. The best bet here is the Cubs at -110.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

The next game we’re going to go over is the Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds. The Brewers, with a record of 80-70, are second in the NL Central. With the 10-7 Eric Lauer on the mound, the Brewers come in as -178 favorites. Lauer has an ERA of 3.91, far better than Mike Minor, who is starting for the Reds.

The Reds rank fourth in the NL Central with a record of 55-91. We’re coming to the end of the season and it’s clear the Reds won’t be making the postseason. Mike Minor, the starting pitcher, has a record of 4-12 with an ERA of 6.06. As a team, the Reds are batting .239 at the plate this season, we’ll go with the Brewers -178.

Houston Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles – 7:05 PM ET

The Houston Astros are sending out Jose Urquidy to start today’s game on the mound. Urquidy has an ERA of 3.96 and a 13-7 record this season. With a strong record and ERA it’s no surprise they come into this game as -145 favorites. Still, the Baltimore Orioles could be a tough opponent for the Astros.

The Orioles have a record of 78-71 this season, fourth in the AL East. The 7-5 Dean Kremer will take the mound for them tonight. Kremer has an ERA of 3.33 over 105.1 innings and has thrown 75 strikeouts. Baltimore is batting .235 at the plate and coming off a 2-0 win over the Astros. We’ll go with the underdogs at home and take Baltimore +122.

New York Mets vs. Oakland Athletics – 9:40 PM ET

The New York Mets are 95-56 this season, ranking first in the NL East. Tonight’s game on its surface looks like an easy one for the Mets to win. They’re sending out Chris Bassitt, the 14-8 starting pitcher with an ERA of 3.32. Where the Mets really excel, however, is at the plate, where they have a team average of .257.

The Oakland Athletics come into this game as +192 underdogs and for good reason. They have a team batting average of .216, one of the worst in the league. Cole Irvin, who is 9-11, has an ERA of 3.79 this season and has thrown 114 strikeouts. We’ll go with the Mets at -235 over the Athletics.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10 PM ET

Our final game of the day features two powerhouses. The St. Louis Cardinals have an 88-63 record this season with a 37-36 record when traveling. Jose Quintana will get the nod to take the mound against the Dodgers tonight. Quintana has a record of 5-6 this season with an ERA of 3.16.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending out the 3-2 Andrew Heaney tonight. Heaney has a 2.66 ERA over the course of 61 innings pitched. The Dodgers also have one of the best batting groups, hitting .259 from the plate. Although the Cardinals are a tough test, we’ll go with the Dodgers at home -178.
