Action Insider: NBA Look Ahead

We’ve got another great week of NBA action, featuring teams jostling for position. In the Western Conference, the Suns are trying to surpass the Warriors. In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics try to work their way up into the top six teams. Although we’re still far away from the playoffs, we’ll get to see some potential matchups.

Here’s the lineup of games that we’ll be covering this week. We’ll look at the Denver Nuggets against the San Antonio Spurs next.

Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs, Thurs Dec 9, 7:30pm CT

The Denver Nuggets might not have the best record, but they’re currently No.10 in the West. They’ll have a chance to advance themselves in the conference with a win against the Spurs. However, the Spurs beat the Nuggets in every category, aside from free-throw percentage. We will give the Nuggets credit for going 8-2 in their last ten against the Spurs.

The Spurs find themselves outside the top ten in the Western Conference. This week, a few key wins could get them into the No.10 spot, though. One of these wins would need to be against the Denver Nuggets, though, a team they’re familiar with. The Spurs have put together a strong streak lately, beating the Celtics, Wizards, and Trail Blazers. Still, we like the Nuggets to win and cover the spread in this one.
