Sunday, November 14, 2021: 7:00 pm CT: Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets
The NBA kicks off another week of basketball with the Golden State Warriors in control of the Western Conference. They have to keep the pace up, though, as the Utah Jazz is right on their trail.
The Warriors aren’t the only team doing well in the West, though; the Dallas Mavericks are red hot too. Although it’s early in the season, each of these teams is fighting for positioning.
In the Eastern Conference, there’s only one team better than the Miami Heat. The Philadelphia 76ers have a slight lead in the conference, but Miami is following closely. Both the 76ers and Heat will face some tough competition this week.
We could see the top spots in the Eastern Conference shuffle by the time the week ends. Let’s take a look at some of this week’s games.
The Portland Trail Blazers are hoping to get a win over a conference rival. They face the Denver Nuggets on Sunday and will need a lot more from their 10th ranked offense. Portland is under .500 against the spread but is awful against the spread on the road. Currently, their ATS road record is 0-4.
The Denver Nuggets have had a similar season to the Trail Blazers, which is unfortunate. Denver has a lot of talent, but losing Jamal Murray was a significant blow.
They have a 1-3 ATS record when playing at home, making them rather untrustworthy. Considering both teams are awful against the spread, taking the Denver Nuggets Moneyline makes the most sense.
