We are now nearing the end of the college basketball season as conference tournaments will start to get underway in just over a month.

There is a ton of very good conference matchups this upcoming week, and this is the point where games are going to start deciding whether or not a team can win a conference title.

Losses from here on out are going to be very tough for some programs to overcome if they wish to win a conference title. Below we take a look at five games that will be of impact this week.

Illinois Fighting Illini Travel to West Lafayette to Face the Purdue Boilermakers

The Illinois Fighting Illini will have one of their toughest tests of the year as they travel to take on the Purdue Boilermakers. Illinois is 16-5 on the season and are 9-2 in the Big Ten. Purdue is 19-3 on the year and are 8-3 in Big Ten play.

This game could determine the winner of the Big Ten, as a win by Illinois would be monumental to hold their spot at the top. 

Illinois is ranked #18 in the country, while Purdue is inside the Top 5 at #4. Jaden Ivey leads Purdue in scoring with 17.0 points per game. Kofi Cockburn leads Illinois in scoring as he scores 22.1 points a contest.

Look for Purdue to have the edge at home.
