We saw a couple of big games this past weekend and some really high-intensity games. We had a few upsets this past week and a ton of really good games. The conference slate is starting to creep into the picture for a majority of teams, and now is when the real basketball gets underway. 

This is going to be a very good week of basketball leading up to the holiday. There are a few really good conference matchups this week. If we have learned anything so far is that no team is safe this year.

We will take a look at five games from this upcoming week and break down the matchup and who has the edge coming into the game.

#9 Alabama Crimson Tide vs a Struggling Memphis Tigers

The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Memphis Tigers meet in what should be a really good game. Alabama has been playing great basketball so far this season, while Memphis is a really solid team but has struggled recently. 

Alabama is ranked #9 in the country with just one loss so far on their schedule. Memphis is 5-3 on the season but has lost a couple of really tough games. They got up to as high as #9 on the year so far this season. 

Alabama will rely on Jaden Shackelford to do the scoring for them as he scores 19.3 points a game. He will be the main cog for Alabama in the game. Memphis is a little more well-rounded as they are led by Emoni Bates, who scores 11.5 points a game. I look for this one to be a high-scoring contest, and I would be leaning towards Memphis at home.
