New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills Predictions

NFL Postseason Opening Weekend Outlook; Saturday, Jan. 15

How can you not love football? It’s impossible not to love football. This weekend, the NFL has blessed us with extra playoff football. We have six games instead of five because only the first seed in each conference receives a bye this year.

The games begin on Saturday with Las Vegas and Cincinnati. They conclude with a Monday night primetime battle between Arizona and Los Angeles. The betting handle is going to be huge this weekend, but before you place a wager, it’s time to start preparing.

Here is your NFL postseason opening weekend outlook. Let’s go to work!

New England Patriots Travels to Buffalo to Face the Bills

In the Saturday nightcap, we will get the AFC East grudge match. The Buffalo Bills clinched the AFC East title in Week 18, but they will have the runner-up coming back to Buffalo this week. The Patriots did not finish the season on a high note, but this is a dangerous football team.

New England beat the Bills in Buffalo earlier in the season, only throwing three times. This will be a very tight game based on the past results between the two teams.

New England at +4 seems like an outstanding deal, but 53% of bettors like the other side of the spread. The Patriots are 10-7 ATS in 2021 compared to Buffalo at 9-6-2. 52% of tickets are taking the under of 43 points.

The Bills’ pass defense has been by far the best in the NFL this year, allowing opposing attacks to just 5.2 yards per pass attempt. In Week 16, Patriots Mac Jones had a rough game against them, completing 14-of-32 passes for 145 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

I’m going to back the Bills again in the Wild Card round after backing them twice this season against the Patriots. The Patriots won the opener, but I believe we can all agree that the extreme weather during that game made it an outlier.

Both games on Saturday is great start to the NFL Postseason this year.  Looking for both Cincinnati and Buffalo to pull of wins this weekend.
