NFL Preseason Week 2 Betting Outlook

We’re heading into the second week of the NFL Preseason, giving us more games to bet on. Today, we’re going to take a look at each of them and give you the best picks in our opinion. Let’s go over each matchup and how you should bet on it.

Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams – August 19, 2022 9:00pm CST

Both the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams came away with wins in Week 1. The Houston Texans’ defense showed off its intensity, holding the Saints to just 13 points. They’ll face a tougher offense in the Rams in Week 2 of the preseason.

Speaking of offense, the Rams scored 29 points in their win over the Chargers. As a team, the Rams are firing on both sides of the ball, giving them the advantage here. Look for the offense to strike early and often and for the Rams to win the game.

Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills – August 20, 2022 12:00pm CST

The Denver Broncos come into this game after a 17-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys. We likely won’t see Russell Wilson take the field, but he doesn’t need to. The Broncos’ defensive ability should be able to handle the Bills’ second-team offense.

As always, it’s important to remember that the Buffalo Bills starters won’t be in this game. Even still, they beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-24 last week. The difference here is defense, and the Broncos are just slightly better, so we’ll take them.

Detroit Lions vs. Indianapolis Colts – August 20, 2022 12:00pm CST

This is an interesting game to look at because, regardless of the loss, each offense performed well. The Detroit Lions scored 23 points in their loss to Atlanta, and the Indianapolis Colts scored 24 against the Buffalo Bills. However, only one team can come out as the victor in this one.

In terms of depth, we feel the Indianapolis Colts have a sizable advantage. They also have a better running game, so they can control the clock easier. Between these two, we’ll take the Colts at home over the Lions.
