NFL Regular Season Week 2 Betting Outlook

In the NFL, every team has a chance to win on any given Sunday. But as we move into Week 2, some teams are starting to show their true colors. The teams that looked good in Week 1 are likely going to continue playing well, while the teams that struggled are going to have a harder time getting back on track.

That’s what makes NFL betting so interesting – anything can happen on any given Sunday. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make some educated guesses about how things will play out. So without further ado, let’s take a look at my predictions for Week 2 of the NFL season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints – Sunday, September 18, 2022 12:00pm CST

This NFC South battle should be a fun one to watch as both teams are 1-0. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned a 19-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last week, but it was a tough game. The Buccaneers didn’t score a single touchdown until the second half. 

The New Orleans Saints, on the other hand, scored several touchdowns but allowed a lot as well. They only beat the Atlanta Falcons because of a Will Lutz field goal. We expect a lot more from the Buccaneers this week, so we’ll take them -2.5 on the road.

Carolina Panthers vs. New York Giants – Sunday, September 18, 2022 12:00pm CST

Panthers Baker Mayfield was unable to get his revenge over his former team last week. However, he still had a pretty good game, passing for 235 yards in a 26-24 loss. The problem was they had no running game, and Christian McCaffrey was a non-factor. 

The New York Giants started their season 1-0 based on a few risky plays. Giants Saquon Barkley rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown last week. Although they’re the favorites by 2.5-points, we’ll take the Panthers on the road +2.5.
